The Fox Tuesday comedy block experiment is ending sooner than planned — BEN AND KATE has been pulled from the schedule. (No word at this time when the unaired episodes will show up on the schedule.)
Fox will air new episodes of RAISING HOPE in its place on Tuesday, January 29th, February 5th, and February 26th. A mixture of HELL’S KITCHEN and AMERICAN IDOL will air in the RH/BAK spot after that, though RAISING HOPE will have a one-hour season finale on Thursday, March 28th after IDOL.
In case you need/want a full rundown of the upcoming Tuesday schedule (which, if you love RAISING HOPE, you might), take a look…
ONCE UPON A TIME: Benjamin Stockham to Guest Star

Comments Off on ONCE UPON A TIME: Benjamin Stockham to Guest Star
ONCE UPON A TIME continues its parade of season 2 guest stars, and this latest piece of casting is very intriguing: ABC has confirmed that 1600 PENN star Benjamin Stockham will guest star in an upcoming episode of the show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (who was first to report the casting), Stockham will play Owen, “a precocious, strong-willed kid who isn’t afraid to speak his mind — but his free-spirited, lively personality is all a facade, as he’s secretly dealing with the tragic death of his mother.”
Of course, with OUAT, even guest spots are rarely simple. Do you think Stockham might be playing a character we’ve yet to meet? (Someone from Hook’s past, perhaps?) Or do you think he might be a younger version of a character we already know?
ONCE UPON A TIME airs Sundays at 8 PM on ABC.

ARROW: David Ramsey and Andrew Kreisberg Tease ‘Trust But Verify’

Comments Off on ARROW: David Ramsey and Andrew Kreisberg Tease ‘Trust But Verify’
ARROW fans will get to learn a bit more about Diggle in tonight’s brand new episode, “Trust But Verify,” when Dig’s old military buddy, Ted Gaynor (played by FARSCAPE’s Ben Browder), pops back into his life.
“You find out a lot about Diggle,” David Ramsey (Diggle) teased to reporters on set late last year. “We know Diggle has a big military background, and Ted Gaynor is one of his partners back during his military days. Diggle has to make some decisions because Ted proves to be a little more than Diggle thought. [Tonight’s hour] is a big episode for me because there’s some loyalties that perhaps aren’t as loyal we thought…We were very tight in the military. Brothers, in fact, in many ways. And those loyalties come into question in a big way.”
Causing complications? Gaynor is on Arrow’s list of people to take down.

Booth and Brennan got to go undercover last week on BONES and now it’s time for Angela to take a crack at it.
It’s been obvious for a while the artist hasn’t been entirely thrilled with her job, so perhaps she’ll be able to get some of her aggression out while undercover as a roller derby skater?
Take a look at some photos from “The Doll in the Derby,” which is set to air Monday, February 4th…
Fox Picks Up DADS From Alec Sulkin, Wellesley Wild, and Seth MacFarlane

Fox has ordered a new series for the 2013-2014 series — DADS, from Alec Sulkin, Wellesley Wild, Seth MacFarlane (AKA the writes of TED). Rather than going through the traditional pilot process for new shows, the network has opted to go straight to picking up six episodes of the multi-cam comedy before anything is shot (or cast).
So what’s this show about? The logline says: “Two successful guys in their 30’s have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads unexpectedly move in with them.“
Does that catch your interest? Or are you waiting to see who gets cast?

THE NEW NORMAL: Ali Adler and John Stamos Preview ‘Gaydar’

Comments Off on THE NEW NORMAL: Ali Adler and John Stamos Preview ‘Gaydar’
John Stamos makes his debut on THE NEW NORMAL in tonight’s brand new episode, he brings a whole new complication to the show — just how reliable is “gaydar”?
“[Tonight’s episode is] about the preconceived notions we have about how someone acts or looks gay, and that the new normal is we really don’t have any clue and neither do our gay people in the show have a fair clue,” THE NEW NORMAL executive producer Ali Adler told reporters during a winter press tour set visit. “We’re all just completely at a loss. Everyone is just who they are and that’s the exploration for next week.”
“Gaydar is about what — that gaydar doesn’t work anymore,” Adler added. “That however we set it to in the ’90s and the ’80s and whatever, it’s just not working anymore in this millennium. And we can go, ‘He’s a florist; he’s gay.’ Well, those notions are going to hang us ultimately, and I think that’s what we explore with John[‘s character] and [fellow guest star] Mark Consuelos as well.”

Comments Off on ARROW Casts Alex Kingston
Just last week, ARROW executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told me, “I think we have the best guests. We have the best casts on television, and I think we have one of the best guest casts on television.”
And boy, do they ever.
A CW rep has confirmed that former ER (and DOCTOR WHO) actress Alex Kingston has signed on to recur on ARROW. She’ll first appear in episode 16 (“Dead to Rights”), which was written by Geoff Johns.
But who will she be playing?

DON’T TRUST THE B—- FROM APARTMENT 23 has been pulled from the ABC schedule, sources confirm to Give Me My Remote. (The Hollywood Reporter was first to break the news.)
The good news? This means we’ll get double episodes of HAPPY ENDINGS. The bad is that the remaining eight episodes of APARTMENT 23’s season are unscheduled as of now.
James Van Der Beek (who played a fictionalized version of himself on the show) took to Twitter to let his feelings on the matter be heard.
Potential THE VAMPIRE DIARIES Spinoff, THE ORIGINALS, Books Daniel Gillies

The potential THE VAMPIRE DIARIES spinoff, THE ORIGINALS — which would focus on the Original family — has booked another lead: THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ Daniel Gillies. A Warner Bros. rep confirmed the Deadline report that Gillies (who has played TVD’s Elijah off-and-on since season 2) will be involved with the backdoor pilot.
Gillies joins fellow TVD castmembers Joseph Morgan (Klaus) and Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley), who already are committed to the potential spinoff.
Is there any other TVD cast members you hope make their way over if the spinoff becomes official?

THE FOLLOWING: James Purefoy on Filming the Pilot’s Chilling Final Scene
January 22, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, The Following
For as vocal as I’ve been about my love of THE FOLLOWING, one thing I couldn’t talk about pre-premiere was the absolutely chilling final scene between Joe Carroll and Ryan Hardy: with Carroll locked up again, he (vaguely) laid out his plans to make Ryan his “flawed hero” in their “sequel.”
In order for the series (and their cat and mouse games) to work, that scene had to be solid. You needed to buy Carroll and Hardy as worthy competitors, you needed to feel the tension, and the stakes of what was to come needed to be clear. And for me, I felt it was the best scene in any pilot this year.
When I spoke with James Purefoy about what’s to come for Carroll (look for more from that later this week!), I asked him about the experience of filming that final sequence, and he seemed pleased with it.
CASTLE: Meet Castle’s Dad!

At long last, Castle’s father will be introduced — ABC has confirmed that James Brolin will play the role of Rick’s MIA dad. (According to TVGuide.com, he’ll make his debut in the second part of CASTLE’s annual two-part arc, which is set to air February 25th.)
Introducing Castle’s father — who may or may not be involved with the CIA — was a priority for the ABC series…but something they had been willing to hold off on doing to ensure they did it correctly.

BONES Recap: ‘The Corpse in the Canopy’

Hello BONES fans! This episode, “The Corpse in the Canopy,” was intense! And like all episodes involving Christopher Pelant, we’re left with more questions than answers. But I think the Jeffersonian team is getting to him, and hopefully he’ll soon be apprehended. Of course, a bullet wound to the face from Booth is nothing to scoff at either. A lot happened in this episode, so let’s discuss!
