Happy Valentine’s Day! If you’re celebrating your night with your true love — the television, naturally — you’ll have a whole lot of options to view.

Take a look…

The Big Bang Theory | 8pm on CBS
“The Tangible Affection Proof”
While the guys try to give their significant others the perfect Valentine’s Day, Raj and Stuart throw a “lonely people” party at the comic book store.

The Vampire Diaries | 8pm on The CW
“Down the Rabbit Hole”
On the island, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has an ugly run-in with a Hunter named Vaughn (guest star Bewley), and realizes he is one of The Five. Stefan (Paul Wesley) confesses his true feelings about the possibility of becoming human again to Elena (Nina Dobrev). When a stunning new piece of information about the cure is suddenly revealed, it changes the stakes for everyone. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) helps Bonnie (Kat Graham) recognize what is real and what is an illusion, and Shane (guest star David Alpay) is comforted by a woman from his past, Caitlin (guest star Camille Guaty, “Prison Break”). Back in Mystic Falls, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) find that their attempt to translate the code on the Hunter’s Sword is futile without help from Klaus (Joseph Morgan), who has his own reasons for solving the puzzle.

American Idol | 8pm on Fox
“Hollywood Round, Part 4 – Top 40 Revealed”
In the final Hollywood episode, the judges reveal the Top 40 contestants – 20 guys and 20 girls – who remain in the competition. These contestants will travel to Las Vegas in hopes of impressing the judges one more time. See which contestants shine and which ones crack under the pressure.

Community | 8pm on NBC
“Paranormal Parentage”
While on their way to Vicki’s (Danielle Kaplowitz) Halloween costume party, the study group makes a detour to Pierce’s (Chevy Chase) mansion when they learn he accidentally locked himself in his panic room. As Pierce languishes behind locked doors, the group searches the dark and eerie house for the book that holds the code to the door. Along the way they encounter a few of the house’s secrets.

Zero Hour | 8pm on ABC | Series Premiere
“Strike”
It’s a race against time for Hank Galliston (Anthony Edwards) after his wife, Laila (Jacinda Barrett), is abducted by the international terrorist “White Vincent” (Michael Nyqvist). As the publisher of a paranormal enthusiast magazine, Modern Skeptic, Hank has spent his career debunking myths and investigating conspiracies. Now, seemingly out of nowhere, he is thrust into the middle of one of the biggest conspiracies in human history, sparked by his wife’s discovery of an antique clock at a Brooklyn flea market — a clock that possesses much more than the power to tell time. With help from FBI Agent Rebecca “Beck” Riley (Carmen Ejogo) and his two young magazine staffers, Rachel (Addison Timlin) and Arron (Scott Michael Foster), they set out on a journey to find Laila, but soon find their mission is much bigger than just saving one woman.

Parks & Recreation | 8:30pm on NBC

The Cast of SUBURGATORY Previews Valentine’s Day in Chatswin

On tonight’s brand new episode of SUBURGATORY, Dallas and George’s first Valentine’s Day together goes awry when her attempt to freshen up for the big day goes off the rails.

“She’s…a little insecure because George is a little younger, so she gets some facial work that goes bad,” Jeremy Sisto (George) told reporters earlier this week. “So she disappears and ditches me on Valentine’s Day. So I get drunk at the restaurant.”

And while the botched procedure renders Cheryl Hines (Dallas) virtually unrecognizable, the show chose to have her wear prostheses, versus changing her face in post-production.

THE ORIGINALS is adding, well, another original sibling to the mix: a rep for Warner Bros. confirms the reports that Claire Holt (Rebekah) will be joining the backdoor pilot for THE VAMPIRE DIARIES spinoff.

Holt joins her on-screen brothers Joseph Morgan (Klaus) and Daniel Gillies (Elijah) as “original” family members on the new potential series. Also booked is THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley), as well as TVD newbies Charles Michael Davis (Marcel), Daniella Pineda (Sophie), Danielle Campbell (Davina), and Leah Pipes (Camille).

If THE ORIGINALS goes to series, it’s going to be very curious to see what next season of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES looks like…

Comments Off on AMERICAN IDOL to Air Special 90-Minute Episode, GLEE to Air 500th Musical Number

Fox will be expanding their primetime lineup on Thursday, March 7th as AMERICAN IDOL will air a special 90-minute installment. And that’s not the only special thing going on that night: GLEE will air its 500th musical performance.

For AMERICAN IDOL, those extra 30 minutes are needed as America will find out who the top 12 finalists are in a live results show.

Over on GLEE’s “Girls (And Boys) on Film” episode,  Fox says “the glee club’s latest assignment is to choose a song from a movie and the members of New Directions sing the hit series’ landmark 500th musical performance with their rendition of the “Animal House” anthem “Shout.” Meanwhile in New York, Santana (Naya Rivera) makes herself at home in the loft a little too quickly for Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) comfort.” That episode is set to start at 9:30 PM.

Comments Off on FX Orders THE BRIDGE

FX is adding to its lineup: the network has just ordered 13 episodes of the new drama series, THE BRIDGE, it was announced in a press release.

“For years networks have been trying to develop a drama series set on the U.S.-Mexican border without any success,” said Landgraf. ”I’m thrilled to say that Meredith Stiehm and Elwood Reid have become the first to crack that creative code and they have done so magnificently,” said John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks, in a statement. “There have been great films set in that world – No Country for Old Men and Lone Star come to mind – but never a great TV series. This one is special. The setting, the writing, the direction, and the way it is brought to life by Demián Bichir, Diane Kruger and the rest of the cast makes for truly riveting drama.”

So what’s THE BRIDGE about?
