Behind-the-Scenes Photos and Insight From THE VOICE Top 5 Recording Their iTunes Songs

Last week, reporters were invited to a studio in Burbank to watch the top 5 contestants remaining on THE VOICE’s fourth season record the iTunes version of the songs they would sing for the top 5 performance show. (Since then, unfortunately, we’ve had to say goodbye to Sasha Allen and Amber Carrington.)
Take a look at behind-the-scenes photos from the recording sessions, the contestants thoughts on the recording studio, and more in the gallery below…
Team Blake's Danielle Bradbery
"The first time I came in here to record 'Mean,' my blind audition song, they were like, it's going to be different singing through those microphones and hearing yourself," Bradbery recalled. "And I started singing, and I was like, 'Whoa I'm not used to this. But every time I get in there, it's more comfortable...I'm getting a lot [more] used to it; it's a quiet place I can sing my heart out. It's really cool in there."
Did you buy any of the contestants’ iTunes songs this week?

It turns out Jake isn’t as out of the picture on SCANDAL as the season 2 finale indicated — ABC confirms that Scott Foley (Jake) will be a series regular when the show returns for its third season.
What do you hope to see Jake up to in season 3? And how messed up is he going to be post-living in that hole?!

THE WINNER IS Exclusive Preview: Leah Grace Versus Legaci

Filed under GMMR Exclusives, The Winner Is
THE VOICE may be wrapping up its season next week, but that doesn’t mean singing competitions will be off the air on NBC — as you might have previewed this past week, there’s a new show called THE WINNER IS (hosted by Nick Lachey) where singers face off against each other in order to impress a panel of music experts for the chance to take home a lot of money.
THE WINNER IS will have another preview episode this Monday after THE VOICE (at 10 PM) and during the episode, the show will pit an adorable — and talented — child (Leah Grace) against a talented group (Legaci). This hardly seems fair, right?
Take a look at an exclusive preview from Monday’s episode to see what the two acts have to offer…

Comments Off on SMASH’s Megan Hilty Joins New NBC Sitcom SEAN SAVES THE WORLD
SMASH’s Megan Hilty might have been singing just this past weekend about her unemployment (thanks to NBC canceling her show), but as it turns out, she’ll now need to be singing another tune: a source confirms Hilty has joined the new NBC sitcom SEAN SAVES THE WORLD as a series regular. (TVLine was first to report the casting.)
Hilty’s new role also serves as a SMASH mini-reunion, as she’ll be playing BFF/co-worker to her former SMASH cohort Sean Hayes in the new sitcom. (Her role was played by Lindsay Sloane in the original pilot.) SEAN SAVES THE WORLD also stars Thomas Lennon (RENO 911) and Echo Kellum (BEN AND KATE).
Does Hilty’s involvement make you more excited for SEAN SAVES THE WORLD?

Comments Off on ‘We Have Thoughts’ Vodcast: Danielle and Marisa Share Some First Thoughts on the New Fall Pilots
We’re months away from the start of the new television season, but the networks have made many of the new pilots available to press. And you know that when I see good (or bad) TV, odds are good I’ll have something to say about it.
While these aren’t reviews — many of these pilots aren’t final, and some can/will change before anything ends up on your TV in a few months — I sat down with my friend/vodcast partner-in-crime Danielle Turchiano (from Made Possible By Pop Culture) to talk about one pilot from each network that stood out to us.
Take a look at our thoughts on ABC’s SUPER FUN NIGHT, CBS’ THE CRAZY ONES, Fox’s ALMOST HUMAN, NBC’s THE MICHAEL J. FOX SHOW, and The CW’s THE TOMORROW PEOPLE…
