Report: CASTLE Production Temporarily Shut Down as Nathan Fillion is Mid-Contract Dispute
July 16, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
Production on CASTLE’s sixth season was temporarily halted after series star Nathan Fillion (Castle) failed to show up to work last Friday, Deadline reports.
According to Deadline, Fillion is currently in the midst of a contract dispute with ABC Studios and is requesting a four-day work week, so his absence could be his way of sending a message.
The good news? An ABC rep confirmed the series is in production now. (Which includes guest star Lisa Edelstein, who tweeted an adorable photo from the set of her with CASTLE star Stana Katic.)

Kill him off, Beckett is more interesting anyway.
He’d better be careful he won’t always be “ruggedly handsome.” 😀
Ruggedly handsome? Who. Is not now, nor ever was. Beckett is more interesting.
I really think I would not miss him. BYE.
