NBC is in early development on four new projects it was announced at the Television Critics Association: “a behind-the-scenes look at Hillary Rodham Clinton” titled HILLARY, an “updated retelling” of ROSEMARY’S BABY, STEPHEN KING’S TOMMYKNOCKERS, and PLYMOUTH, which is “based on the epic story of the Mayflower’s landing in America.”

RAISING HOPE has added a new recurring cast member for the upcoming fourth season: Molly Shannon! A rep for Fox has confirmed that Shannon will join the comedy, starting in the fourth episode of the next year.
According to Deadline (who was first to report the casting), Shannon will will play Maxime, the new owner of Howdy’s.

AMC has ordered two new series, HALT & CATCH FIRE and TURN, it was announced at the Television Critics Association on Friday.
“The simultaneous greenlights today are the first in network history and underscore AMC’s growth and commitment to original scripted programming,” said Joel Stillerman, AMC’s EVP of original programming, production and digital content said in a statement. “Each of these projects takes the audience into a unique world through compelling characters told with an original voice. We are so fortunate to be working with such exceptional talent on these series and can’t wait to bring them to viewers.”

Later this year, DOCTOR WHO will say goodbye to its 11th Doctor.
“I’ve done it for four years, and it we shoot nine, ten months a year,” Matt Smith (The Doctor) told reporters at the BBC America Television Critics Association session. “And I think the show is it has come to a sort of a natural tipping point, and it’s at the top of a cycle, and I think I don’t know really. It’s a good time for me and for the show. But I’ve had a great time. I’ll miss it, and it was a hard choice. It wasn’t an easy choice to make.”
Which means that Smith has since wondered if he made the correct choice to walk away from the iconic role.

BLACK SAILS won’t even debut on Starz until 2014, but the network boss, Chris Albrecht, announced that season 2 has already been ordered.
“We have been viewing a terrific first season,” Albrecht told reporters at the Starz Television Critics’ Association session. “We thought that [producers] Michael Bay and Jon Steinberg deserved to have all the time [to work on season 2]…[this] gives them the opportunity to prepare for the second season the way they did for the first.”

Freddie Prinze Jr. is coming to BONES, a Fox rep has confirmed.
Prinze Jr. — who is married to Sarah Michelle Gellar, AKA BONES star David Boreanaz’s former BUFFY leading lady — will appear in the season premiere as Danny, a CIA agent from Booth’s past. According to TVLine (who was first to report the news), Danny is “armed and dangerous” and “has an interest in Booth and Brennan’s current murder investigation.”
