Comments Off on ARROW: Andrew Kreisberg on His Biggest Lesson From Season 1
With every new show — no matter how strong it is — there are lessons learned from the first season.

CBS is debuting a handful of new comedies this fall, and they’ve whipped up some key art to give you a taste about what these shows are about.
Take a look!
MOM
CBS has released a first look of the key art designs for the NetworkâÂÂs four new comedy series, including MOM, to begin appearing in print, online and outdoor later this summer. MOM stars Anna Faris as Christy, a newly sober single mom and waitress raising two children in a world full of temptations and pitfalls, and multiple Emmy Award winner Allison Janney stars as Bonnie, ChristyâÂÂs critical, estranged mother. The key art features Janney striking a pose on top of Farisâ head/shoulders.
Which show’s key art was your favorite?

Comments Off on Julie Plec on Keeping the Continuity Between THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and THE ORIGINALS
For years, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES has played by its own rules, where time didn’t need to necessarily to reflect what was going on in the real world, and they could move through things at their own pace. But now with the addition of the show’s new spinoff, THE ORIGINALS, things will be complicated a bit as the shows have the potential to share characters…and as such both will need to remain close in time so continuity isn’t thrown off-kilter.
At Comic-Con, I asked THE VAMPIRE DIARIES/THE ORIGINALS executive producer Julie Plec about maintaining that delicate balance…

One of the best kept secrets of the last pilot season (that HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER/AVENGERS star Cobie Smulders appears in the MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.) is now out in the open thanks to the Comic-Con screening of the pilot, but what’s more up in the air is what comes next.
While doing press for HIMYM at Comic-Con, Smulders talked about bringing Agent Hill to MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. and if she’ll be coming back…

Comments Off on CASTLE: Andrew Marlowe Teases Diving Into the World of Child Actors and Richard Castle as a Hostage Negotiator for Season 6 Cases
While the big questions on everyone’s minds about CASTLE season 6 revolve around whether Beckett will accept Castle’s proposal and whether she will go to DC for a new job, one thing is certain: crimes are still going to need to be solved.
“We’re going to start off with a case that’s relatively high-stakes,” CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe told me. “We think that’s a fun way to get people reemerged into the CASTLE universe. And then we’ll have some more fun cases coming up. As you know, we like to balance the serious, the thrilling, and the fun.”
As for those lighter cases. season 6 will feature the show diving into the world of a certain late ’80s/early ’90s television show, Richard Castle having to step up in an unexpected way, and…time travel?!

When HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas went into last season, they wrote the first part of it thinking it would be the final year. But then, things changed and the cast signed on for a ninth (and final) season…altering a bit of the storytelling the men would be able to tell before their show signed off for good.
At Comic-Con over the weekend, Bays and Thomas shared what the extra season has afforded them, their mindset going into the show’s last year, getting to do their first Con with HIMYM, and more…

Comments Off on THE CARRIE DIARIES Season 2 First Look: Check Out Lindsey Gort as Samantha Jones!
When THE CARRIE DIARIES returns for its second season, Carrie Bradshaw will interact with a person who is very well known to SEX AND THE CITY fans: Samantha Jones!
“In another nerve-wracking search to create the amazing characters we all came to know and love on SEX AND THE CITY, we went out in search this year for a young Samantha Jones,” THE CARRIE DIARIES creator Amy B. Harris said in a statement. “Lindsey Gort walked into the room and owned the part. Funny and sexy with a whiff of vulnerability and an amazing dash of outrageousness, Lindsey is our exciting choice to play the young Samantha Jones.”
Carrie will meet TCD-era Samantha through a “surprising connection,” and the young Miss Jones is described as “a ballsy, beautiful and sexy young woman from the panhandle of Florida who has made her way — and already a name for herself — in the rock ’n’ roll scene of 1980s NYC.”
And while season 2 of THE CARRIE DIARIES won’t kick off until October 25th on The CW, we have your first look at Gort as Samantha…
