The new Fox series, ALMOST HUMAN, will be having its Comic-Con panel debut with an official screening/panel hybrid, today at 4 PM PT.
I’ll be live-blogging the panel when it officially starts (probably around 4:45 PM PT), but in the meantime, here is the official panel description: “In the near future, technology and crime will increase so quickly that law enforcement will not be able to keep up. To maintain order and keep the public safe, all police officers must partner with highly evolved human-like-androids known as synthetics. From creator J. H. Wyman (Fringe) and J. J. Abrams’s Bad Robot Productions, Almost Human tells the story of Detective John Kennex and his synthetic partner Dorian, who must learn to work together in order to survive. Attendees will see a screening of the complete pilot episode, followed by a Q&A with series stars and producers. From Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Almost Human premieres this fall on FOX.”

THE X-FILES may have been off our television screens for 11 years (and it’s been five years since the last movie), but in honor of the 20th anniversary of THE X-FILES pilot debuting on Fox (its official debut was on September 10, 1993), TV Guide Magazine is hosting a panel that will reunite many of the key players.
I’ll be live-blogging the panel when it begins at 3:30 PM PT, but here’s the official description in the meantime: “It’s been two decades since FBI Special Agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) first partnered to investigate unsolved paranormal cases. The X-Files made primetime safe for sci-fi, and spawned a generation of hugely successful writer/producers. Somewhere, the truth is still out there. TV Guide Magazine Los Angeles bureau chief Michael Schneider leads a panel scheduled to include series creator Chris Carter, plus writers/producers David Amann, Vince Gilligan, Howard Gordon, Darin Morgan, Glen Morgan, John Shiban, Jim Wong, and more guests to come.”

While info about what’s to come is on virtual lockdown, I spoke with RJ Mitte (Walter Jr.) about his emotions on the celebrated series ending its run, and his best (vague) tease about what’s to come…
