PENNY DREADFUL, the new Showtime series psychological thriller starring Josh Hartnett and Eva Green, has added to its cast: former James Bond Timothy Dalton.

Dalton will play Sir Malcolm, a hardened African explorer on a deeply personal quest, Showtime teased in its press release about the casting. Hm…

PENNY DREADFUL is set to make its debut sometime in 2014 on Showtime.

PERSON OF INTEREST: EPISODES’ Kathleen Rose Perkins to Guest Star

EPISODES star Kathleen Rose Perkins is heading to PERSON OF INTEREST, a rep for the CBS series has confirmed.

Perkins (who first revealed the guest spot on her Twitter account) will be playing Vanessa, a former prosecutor who “outwitted and outworked everyone before she quit her job.” And while it might seem like she’s one of the good guys, she’s described as “intelligent, intense, and always three steps ahead…vulnerable, unpredictable, but never without purpose, we don’t know whether to sympathize with Vanessa… or fear her.”

Uh oh…

PERSON OF INTEREST’s third season kicks off on Tuesday, September 24th at 10 PM on CBS.

CASTLE: CHUCK’s Joshua Gomez to Guest Star

CHUCK’s Joshua Gomez has booked a guest spot on CASTLE, an ABC rep confirmed.

According to EW.com (who was first to report the casting), Gomez will play a suspect in a murder who claims to be a time traveller. (Clearly, the character is well-adjusted.)

CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe had previously teased this hour, sharing that “we’re working on an idea here where our suspect in the case claims to be a time-traveler back from the future, trying to prevent cataclysmic events from unfolding.”

CASTLE’s sixth season premieres Monday, September 23rd at 10 PM on ABC.

PARKS AND RECREATION: ORPHAN BLACK Star Tatiana Maslany to Guest Star

ORPHAN BLACK might not be returning until 2014, but fans of series star Tatiana Maslany can get their fix another: on PARKS AND RECREATION!

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Maslany has booked a two episode arc on the NBC comedy as a love interest for Aziz Ansari’s Tom. Maslany is slated to appear in this season’s fifth and sixth episode.
