Wipeout | 8pm on ABC

Some of America’s finest (and smelliest) employees who’ve made careers out of their own dirty jobs get messy in their off-time on the “Wipeout” course. As expected, 24 dirty jobbers like “Pooper Scooper,” “Bustodian” and “Roach Poacher” must face a spattering of stinky stuff like “Failboxes with Skunks” and “The Taco Truck,” after which only the 12 contestants with the best overall times will get a chance to rub elbows with “Octopushy” in the next round. Some may sink, some may swim, but only six get the chance to kick it like it’s 1991 on the flannel-covered “Wipeout Greatest Hits: Grunge Edition,” which narrows the field one more time to just three top contenders. These few remaining unsavory workers get the chance to tackle the Wipeout Zone and compete for a clean $50,000.
