PERSON OF INTEREST: Sarah Shahi Teases Tonight’s Shaw Flashback

Comments Off on PERSON OF INTEREST: Sarah Shahi Teases Tonight’s Shaw Flashback
PERSON OF INTEREST’s Shaw might be quasi-part of the team at this point, but much of her past/history has been a mystery at this point. But that will soon change.
“There’s a flashback in [tonight’s episode], where we get to see her, and what made Shaw the way she is,” Sarah Shahi (Shaw) teased.
For Shahi — who knew none of what gets revealed tonight when she initially took the role — discovering things about Shaw as the show progresses is a bit of a mixed bag.
“When I first read the [first] script [Shaw was in], or even when I get anything, I definitely try and fill in my own backstory with it, my own interpretation of why things are [they way they are],” she explained. “[PERSON OF INTEREST creator] Jonah [Nolan] and I have had discussions about her, and what makes her tick. And it’s a very open communication I have with him in terms of ideas and who she is. It’s something we’re still formulating together, so it’s a challenge [to be partially in the dark], yeah. And the best parts of my job are [often] the things that are not on the page. Those [explorations] are the things that make it so much fun to play, and the difference between a two-dimensional character and someone who is multidimensional.”

Any theories about what tonight’s flashback will reveal about Shaw?

BONES: Karine Rosenthal on Writing the Booth and Brennan Wedding Episode, ‘The Woman in White’
October 22, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
BONES’ Booth and Brennan are now officially married!
It took 172 episodes, years of banter, a few other love interests, more disgusting bodies than any human should ever recall — and a last-minute fire to the church and case to solve — but Booth and Brennan swapped vows in Monday night’s episode, “The Woman in White.”
The hour was a big one for the series, and to make sure it was given its proper due, they brought back former BONES writer/producer, Karine Rosenthal (who was with the show from 2006 until 2012), to pen the long-awaited nuptials.
It’s no secret I absolutely adored the hour, and Rosenthal was gracious enough to hop on the phone to chat about returning to the series, what she did to prep for the episode, what didn’t make the cut, and more…

BONES Recap: ‘The Woman in White’
October 21, 2013 by Sarah Curtis

Hey, BONES fans! “The Woman in White” has been promoted as The Wedding of the Century, and while some may disagree, I really enjoyed this episode. I laughed, I cried, and I didn’t want to hurl…which is a BONES victory. Let me join with those praising Karine Rosenthal for coming back to the show to pen this episode. Now let’s discuss it!

Fox has opted to shake up its November schedule. ALMOST HUMAN — which was set to debut in 2 weeks from tonight — has now been pushed to a two-night debut on November 17/18. BONES will stay in its Monday time slot for two weeks in November until shifting to Fridays on November 15th. And RAISING HOPE’s premiere has been pushed back a week to November 15th.

ALMOST HUMAN’s Michael Ealy on Working with Karl Urban: ‘The Chemistry is Growing’

Comments Off on ALMOST HUMAN’s Michael Ealy on Working with Karl Urban: ‘The Chemistry is Growing’
In two weeks (Update: Fox has opted to push the premiere back to Sunday, November 17th), Fox will debut its final new fall series, ALMOST HUMAN, a “buddy-cop” show set 35 years in the future — where crime rates have risen and every cop is partnered with an android — that explores what humanity really means. (To give you a sense of the tone/show, it was created by FRINGE showrunner J.H. Wyman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams who did FRINGE/LOST/ALIAS/STAR TREK, etc.)
At the center of the series are Karl Urban’s John Kennex, a newly reinstated detective who was injured in a massive police ambush and has only partnered with humans pre-injury, and Michael Ealy’s Dorian, an android (model DRN) whose kind was created to be as human as possible, but has since been taken off the streets…who have become reluctant new partners. And as with any show where there’s one key relationship, the actors are aware their chemistry needs to be on point.
“The chemistry is growing episode after episode,” Ealy told me last month (in the video below), after the duo had completed a handful of hours. “We still work every episode on how to make it better.”
What else did Ealy have to say about his working relationship with Urban? Take a look…

Booth and Brennan are getting hitched tonight, which means up next is a honeymoon!
“They go to Argentina; they go to Buenos Aires on their honeymoon,” BONES executive producer Stephen Nathan previously teased. “Also, we can tease this one little thing: they do go on their honeymoon, and it turns out, the entire country of Argentina is madly in love with Brennan’s books. And it takes a turn that even Brennan didn’t see coming.”
Take a look at some photos from “The Nazi on the Honeymoon,” which will mark BONES’ official move to Fridays on November 8th (Update: Just kidding, apparently! Fox has now opted to air two episodes of BONES in its Monday time slot in November — and push its move to Fridays until November 15th — so this episode is now airing Monday, November 4th.)…
