There’s good news and bad news for CASTLE’s Castle: on the bright side, Pi is finally moving out of his place — but the not-so-great thing is that he’s leaving to shack up with Alexis.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER: James Van Der Beek to Return in the Final Season

Comments Off on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER: James Van Der Beek to Return in the Final Season
He’s back! James Van Der Beek is returning to HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, a rep for the show confirms. Van Der Beek let the cat out of the bag when he tweeted a photo of an upcoming HIMYM script, “Bedtime Stories.”
As HIMYM fans likely remember, Van Der Beek plays Simon, Robin’s first love — and appeared in the “Sandcastles in the Sand” music video with her alter ego, Robin Sparkles — who broke her heart. He first appeared in the show’s third season, and then popped up last year in “P.S. I Love You,” because Barney thought Simon might be the guy Robin was obsessed with. (The episode also gave viewers a new Robin Sparkles/Daggers song and showed us the Canadian MuchMusic special which documented her rise and fall.)
Given that Simon has always coincided with Robin Sparkles music, is it too much to hope for his return will mean the same?! Or perhaps the title is a clue about how he’ll be worked in?
Let me hear your best theories!
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER airs Mondays at 8 PM on CBS.

Comments Off on ONCE UPON A TIME: Marilyn Manson to Lend His Voice for Shadow
Well…this is unexpected: an ABC rep confirms that rocker Marilyn Manson will lend his voice to ONCE UPON A TIME when Shadow, the dark form we’ve seen bringing people to Neverland, finally starts to speak.
“We’ve always been enormous fans of Marilyn Manson,” ONCE UPON A TIME executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz told Rolling Stone. (Rolling Stone was first to report the casting.) “We wanted to cast someone with the vocal ability to make our skin crawl.”
Manson will first be heard on ONCE UPON A TIME in November.
What do you think of this casting move?
ONCE UPON A TIME airs Sundays at 8 PM on ABC.

CBS has given out its first bit of good news for the season: MOM, THE CRAZY ONES, and THE MILLERS will get their “back nines” — AKA, they’ll each get a full first season.
“We’re proud of CBS’s leadership position in comedy and excited to build on it with the back nine pick-ups of these three new comedies,” said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment in a statement. “These series are creatively distinct, continue to improve each week and are led by strong showrunners, writing and production staffs, and feature amazingly talented casts.”

SUPERNATURAL: Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki Preview Charlie’s Return and Taking on THE WIZARD OF OZ Characters in ‘Slumber Party’
October 18, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Supernatural, Supernatural Spoilers
It’s SUPERNATURAL-meets-THE WIZARD OF OZ in the upcoming episode, “Slumber Party,” and thankfully, Sam and Dean won’t be on their own as they have to try and wrap their minds around it: they’ll have the help of Charlie (returning guest star Felicia Day)!
“This is also what kind of stuff that excites me,” SUPERNATURAL star Jared Padalecki (Sam) shared with reporters in the video below. “Like, these little fun little ways we can tie in real pop culture or real urban legends — kind of how the show started, tying in…existing urban legends into the lore of the show. [In ‘Slumber Party’] we find out that Dorothy has been trapped in the Men of Letters bunker for a long, long, long time. And accidentally she is set free, but so is the witch…so now we have them running around our bunker, and we have to employ the help of the coolest computer nerd we know [Charlie] to help us try to figure out what happened.”
“Dean kind of tries to battle with the fact that there’s an actual Wizard of Oz, and there’s an actual Dorothy, and it’s all being unfolded in front of him,” Jensen Ackles (Dean) added later in the video.
Take a look at what else Padalecki and Ackles had to say about “Slumber Party,” the expansion of the Men of Letters bunker, and more…

REIGN: What You Need to Know About the New The CW Series
October 17, 2013 by Marisa Roffman

Comments Off on REIGN: What You Need to Know About the New The CW Series
There are approximately one million new shows debuting this season*, and it’s going to get difficult to keep track of them all.
To help you out, for every new show, I’m going to basically create a hub of info on the day of the premiere — pilot photos, my quick take on the pilot (or what I’ve seen so far), what’s been written about it so far, and when you can watch it.
Next up, REIGN…
Reign
*Maybe not scientifically correct. But close enough.
The CW’s description: “After spending a childhood safely hidden away in a monastery, a teenage Mary Stuart (Adelaide Kane) arrives in France where she has been sent to secure Scotland’s strategic alliance by formalizing her arranged engagement to the French King’s dashing son, Prince Francis (Toby Regbo). Further complicating things is Bash (Torrance Coombs), Francis’ handsome, roguish half-brother and Francis’ mother, Queen Catherine (Megan Follows). When the strong-willed Queen learns of a prophecy that marriage to Mary will cost Francis his life, she is determined to save her son, no matter how many others have to pay with their lives.”
My take: I’ve heard a lot of people saying this is Mary, Queen of Scots-meets-GOSSIP GIRL. And while that kind of works, in terms of quality, it’s Mary, Queen of Scots-meets-GOSSIP GIRL season 6.

“Slumber Party,” SUPERNATURAL’s fourth episode this season is not only bringing back Felicia Day’s Charlie, but it’s also digging into THE WIZARD OF OZ.
“We’re going to have in episode 4 a flashback to the first Men of Letters who ever inhabited the bunker,” SUPERNATURAL executive producer Jeremy Caver previously teased. “And that case, for a reason that will be explained on air, will dive into a very important aspect of THE WIZARD OF OZ, which is going to be fun. It’ll be full of laughs and heart.”
And now, we have some photos from the hour. Take a look!

Comments Off on Fox Orders 13 Episodes of New Series HIEROGLYPH
Fox has given a 13-episode order to another new series. This time, it goes to HIEROGLYPH, a show the network is dubbing “a fantastical action-adventure.” Production is scheduled to begin in early 2014.
So what is the series about? According to Fox, “Set in ancient Egypt, where fantasy and reality intertwined, HIEROGLYPH follows a notorious thief who is plucked from prison to serve the Pharoah, navigating palace intrigue, seductive concubines, criminal underbellies and even a few divine sorcerers.”
“We wanted to do a show about deceit, sex, intrigue in the court and fantastical goings-on – no better place to set that than ancient Egypt,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment for FOX in a statement. “[Writer] Travis Beacham has an inventive mind, and he has wrapped this all together in this intoxicating new drama.”
