When is HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER’s Series Finale?

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is reaching a massive milestone this week as the cast and crew work on producing the 200th episode, but there’s another looming date of note: the upcoming series finale.

While talking with reporters on set at the 200th episode celebration, Craig Thomas shared that the while there is a potential spinoff in the works (with a whole new group of characters), for the creative team behind the show, this particular story ends when the series finale airs:  “April 28th [when the series finale concludes] at 9 PM is the end of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.” (A CBS rep had no comment.)

So while it’s a bit earlier than you might have expected for the HIMYM finale date, are you happy to know when the end is coming? And are you pleased it seems we’ll be getting a one-hour sendoff?
