SCANDAL: Katie Lowes and Guillermo Diaz on That Crazy-Tense Torture Scene and What Comes Next

SCANDAL is no stranger to pulling outrageous stunts, but perhaps nothing has been more shocking than what viewers witnessed in the last episode, “YOLO”: Huck, admittedly, a character whose twisted past includes a long history (and passion) for torture took his revenge on Quinn for her betrayal (she got drawn in and manipulated by the people at B-613) by keeping her restrained and, among other things, removed a tooth.
I spoke with SCANDAL stars Guillermo Diaz (Huck) and Katie Lowes (Quinn) about filming “YOLO,” what comes next, having a shorter season 3, and more…

Comments Off on CASTLE: Frances Fisher to Guest Star
Frances Fisher is coming to CASTLE, an ABC rep has confirmed.
The ABC procedural will be taking on a DEVIL WEARS PRADA-esque case in early 2014, and Fisher will take on the role of Matilda King, a fashion mogul in the episode. And, as a bonus, we will be diving a little bit into the time when Beckett considered becoming a model.
“In investigating the case, we discover that the Anna Wintour character, Matilda King, who runs this magazine, Modern Fashion, crossed paths with Beckett when she briefly flirted with a career as a model,” CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe told TV Guide Magazine (who was first to report the casting).
Are you excited to see Fisher on CASTLE?
CASTLE airs Mondays at 10 PM on ABC.

Comments Off on Showtime to End CALIFORNICATION
CALIFORNICATION will come to an end with the upcoming seventh season, Showtime announced today.
“With its unique blend of lyricism and excess, CALIFORNICATION has been one of our groundbreaking signature series,” said David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., in a statement. “We will always be indebted to Tom Kapinos for leading the creative charge on this memorable comedy, and to David Duchovny for making us root for an unapologetic hedonist like Hank Moody. Tom has carefully planned the final chapter of Hank’s journey and has brought it to a beautiful and satisfying conclusion for new and long-time fans alike.”
CALIFORNICATION’s final season will debut in April of 2014.

BONES Recap: ‘The Spark in the Park’
December 7, 2013 by Sarah Curtis
Hello BONES fans! I hope you are having some happy holidays. As you likely know, this episode, “The Spark in the Park,” is the last new one until 2014, and I’m happy to say I enjoyed this it very much. Pardon the gymnastics reference, but first-time BONES ep writer Emily Silver and veteran director Chad Lowe nailed this episode in terms of style, content, and execution. Interestingly enough, it felt like an old episode of BONES — primarily in the way Booth acted, positively and negatively. More on that later, but first, let’s discuss the case.
Fox Cuts DADS’ Episode Order

Comments Off on Fox Cuts DADS’ Episode Order
Fox has opted to make a few less episodes of DADS than originally announced: a rep for the show confirmed that season 1 will now consist of 19 episodes, down from the planned 22.
The move comes after Fox opted to move GLEE back to Tuesday nights, which necessitated that DADS end its freshman season in February. (THE MINDY PROJECT will be put on a hiatus at the end of January.)
Are you bummed to get three less episodes of DADS?

SLEEPY HOLLOW: Alex Kurtzman Teases the Return of John Noble’s Henry Parrish
December 6, 2013 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Sleepy Hollow
SLEEPY HOLLOW introduced us to John Noble’s Henry Parrish — AKA the “sin eater” — a few episodes back, but as Noble teased, Henry will play a bigger part in the final arc of the show’s freshman season.
“[Noble’s] character, Henry Parrish, spent a good portion of his recent years kind of locked away in a dark room because he’s so afraid of the gift he’s been given,” SLEEPY HOLLOW executive producer Alex Kurtzman pointed out. “And like Abbie and Crane who have been handed this impossible duty, and haven’t exactly known what to do with it, he’s been frightened of the same things and what he’s found himself capable of. And didn’t know exactly how to apply it for good — he didn’t know what to do with it. And meeting Abbie and Crane, and ultimately being able to be the one who separated Crane from the Horseman, it begins to show Henry how necessary he is to the fight against evil, and it gives him a sense of purpose, just like Abbie and Crane are finding theirs. So he will become one of their co-warriors against everything that’s going to be hitting them as they reach the end of the season.”

RAISING HOPE Exclusive Clip: Burt and Virginia Meet Their New Neighbors in REAR WINDOW Spoof, ‘Murder, She Hoped’

RAISING HOPE is turning to Hitchcock (specifically, the classic film REAR WINDOW) for its latest parody, and it seems poor Garret Dillahunt’s Burt is going to fill the James Stewart role of paranoid neighbor.
Take an exclusive look at a clip from one of tonight’s new episodes, “Murder, She Hoped,” which features a pretty awkward “meet the neighbors” conversation…

SCANDAL’s season 3 will be slightly shorter than planned: an ABC rep has confirmed that the episode order for this year has been trimmed from 22 to 18.
SCANDAL will be taking a scheduled break after its midseason finale next week (the show’s tenth episode) and will return with eight new hours in 2014.

THE CARRIE DIARIES has shaken things up in season 2 for Carrie with the introductions of her new friend,Samantha Jones, and Carrie’s new boyfriend, Weaver. And while the series has always had heart, I don’t know about you, but for me, it feels like everything has been taken to the next level this season.
I recently visited THE CARRIE DIARIES’ New York set, where I sat down with series creator Amy B. Harris to talk about season 2, love triangles, the potential to bring in more SEX AND THE CITY characters, and more…
