NBC at TCA: Bob Greenblatt on the Status of HEROES REBORN
July 13, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
NBC announced in February that they would be bringing back HEROES at some point in the near future with an event series, HEROES REBORN, but despite securing the return of original series star Jack Coleman (HRG), the time frame for when HEROES REBORN will actually be televised remains up in the air.
And, unfortunately, NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt couldn’t shed (much) light after his NBC exec session during the Television Critics Association press tour.
“[HEROES creator] Tim Kring is working on a show called DIG right now for USA [Network], so as soon as he’s free of [his commitments to] that, he’ll work on HEROES,” Greenblatt told reporters. “It could be [on NBC next] summer, but I don’t know.”
Another thing they’re not keen to commit to right now: what other original series actors might join Coleman in reprising their HEROES roles for HEROES REBORN.
“We’re being coy about that, because obviously it’s a hot issue,” Greenblatt said. “But Jack was the first step in the process, so stay tuned for [more of] that.”

Is there someone else you hope joins Coleman for HEROES REBORN?
