SLEEPY HOLLOW at Comic-Con: Inside the Occular Rift Experience
July 26, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
For SLEEPY HOLLOW fans at Comic-Con, one of the must-see things in San Diego is Occular Rift experience that is located at the Petco Park Interactive Zone.
Once you’ve waited in line, the whole experience takes about three minutes inside the SLEEPY HOLLOW branded barn, which looks pretty awesome:
First up, the workers take your photo — their instructions are fairly vague about what the photo will be since you’re up against a green screen, but people familiar with the show may have an inkling about what’s going on. (Or if you follow me on Twitter, I may have already spoiled you. Sorry!)
Next up, you put on the Occular Rift goggles and headphones, and you’re transported into the world of SLEEPY HOLLOW. Almost immediately, you’re greeted by Tom Mison’s Ichabod is incredible, and you can move your head anywhere to see more of the world. (There are also apparently season 2 clues in there, but I didn’t catch any.) I really don’t want to ruin the rest of the virtual reality experience, but needless to say it is delightfully fun for fans of the show. (And I’ve already requested it be made into a ride. I think they thought I was kidding.)
Then you get your photo (and you can take a photo of yourself next to the SLEEPY-fied photo, too), and you’re done!
The SLEEPY HOLLOW Occular Rift experience is open from 10 AM-9 PM on Saturday, and 10 AM-7 PM on Sunday. Will you be hitting it up?
