Comments Off on THE FLASH: Andrew Kreisberg on Writing for Barry, ARROW Crossovers, and More

flash-The CW’s THE FLASH is one of the most anticipated (and best) new shows of the upcoming television season, and the series is already upping the ante before it even officially premieres — the freshman superhero drama is set to stage several crossovers with fellow CW/DC Comics series, ARROW (where Grant Gustin’s version of Barry Allen made his debut in late 2013) in the first batch of episodes.

At Comic-Con, THE FLASH (and ARROW) executive producer Andrew Kreisberg sat down with reporters to talk about the importance of doing the upcoming crossovers (while also balancing ARROW’s realism with THE FLASH’s more fantastical tone), getting to write Barry Allen, and much more.

Check out the video interview below…

Based on the name, he is expecting luxury, but is instead greeted by a “dog-friendly” inn, with an overwhelming amount of dog hair and no connection to the well-known hotel chain. With the owner, Sandy, oblivious to the inn’s problems and a dining room serving meals that look surprisingly like dog food, the overhaul will be no easy feat. Find out if Ramsay can transform the dismal dog kennel and inn before it has to be put down for good.

‘We Have Thoughts’ Vodcast: Danielle and Marisa Talk Quitting Shows

Comments Off on ‘We Have Thoughts’ Vodcast: Danielle and Marisa Talk Quitting Shows

I have a problem giving up television shows.

Well, sometimes it’s a problem. There are literally only so many hours in the day, and holding on to shows I don’t love often equals me not having time to check out older shows I may have missed, etc. But other times, shows can have a period of terribleness and then bounce back to a show I enjoy. (Whenever a show I love goes through a bad period, I always hope it will return to form. I never root for a show to be/stay bad.)

But that’s not how a lot of people watch television. For instance, my friend/vodcasting partner Danielle Turchiano is much more willing to cut a show loose if she’s bored/given up on it, etc.

So for our latest vodcast, we talked about the notion of giving up on shows…

THE FOLLOWING: LOGO

THE FOLLOWING’s Max and Mark couldn’t have ended the second season in more opposite ways: for Mark, he lost everything — his mother and twin brother, Luke, were killed, and he was on his own. (Sort of.) But Max found herself in a good spot — after she took out Luke (and Joe Carroll was officially placed under arrest), she and Mike finally acted on the chemistry that had been building all year.

But rarely do things stay the status quo on THE FOLLOWING. And since season 3 will kick off with a time jump, in the video below Jessica Stroup (Max) teased “really, really big things” are happening for the Mike/Max (one of which will be devastating for the duo), while Underwood previewed Mark having to hide in plain site, and emerging from the emotional disaster of the past year…

ABC Developing a Series Based on the CASTLE-Created Derrick Storm

Comments Off on ABC Developing a Series Based on the CASTLE-Created Derrick Storm

This could get interesting/complicated: an ABC rep has confirmed that the network is in the early stages of developing a series based on the Derrick Storm book series.

What makes this extra crazy is that the Storm series was “written” by CASTLE’s title character Richard Castle (played by Nathan Fillion). In fact, Castle “killing off” Storm was one of the reasons why he first partnered with Beckett in the television series — Castle needed a new muse, and Beckett inspired Nikki Heat. (It was later revealed that Storm faked his own death.)

The pilot is set to be written by Gregory Poirier, and will be executive produced by CASTLE creator Andrew Marlowe and CASTLE executive producer Terri Edda Miller.

Like CASTLE’s Heat series, several Storm books and graphic novels have been actually released. No word yet on whether any of those stories will be a part of the potential upcoming show.

Are you intrigued by a possible Derrick Storm series?
