AGENTS OF SHIELD Producers and Cast on the Split Season, Complex Ward

Comments Off on AGENTS OF SHIELD Producers and Cast on the Split Season, Complex Ward
AGENTS OF SHIELD suffered from inconsistent airing patterns during its first season, but that won’t be an issue in season 2.
“There is, basically, going to be our fall/winter season, and then we’re going to take a break and do a little show called AGENT CARTER…and then we’re going to be back,” AGENTS OF SHIELD/AGENT CARTER executive producer Jeph Loeb told reporters. “And we’ll be back and run [the rest of the season] all the way through. The idea is to give you as much Marvel as we can at 9 PM on Tuesday nights on ABC. If you do the math, there’s 22 SHIELDs, there’s 8 CARTERs, and so that’s 30 hours at that time…I think what you’ll see, is that by the time we get to, let’s call it ‘winter break,’ a lot of the stories we’ve picked up will be resolved in a new, wonderful way. But that doesn’t mean it won’t have new things that are surprising.”

YOU’RE THE WORST and MARRIED have been renewed, FX announced. Both shows will have 13-episode second seasons (up from their first-season 10 episodes), and YOU’RE THE WORST will transition over to FXX.
“We love these shows and the creative visions of Andrew Gurland of MARRIED and Stephen Falk of YOU’RE THE WORST,” said Nick Grad, co-President of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions, in a statement. “Both series have terrific ensemble casts and outstanding lead performances – Nat Faxon and Judy Greer in MARRIED, and Chris Geere and Aya Cash in YOU’RE THE WORST. These shows are honest, 360-degree looks at relationships and we’re excited to see how they evolve.”

Comments Off on AGENT CARTER: Dominic Cooper to Reprise His Role of Howard Stark
Dominic Cooper has officially joined ABC’s upcoming television series, AGENT CARTER, Marvel announced.
Cooper will reprise his role of Howard Stark — AKA Tony’s father — which he has played in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER and Marvel one-shot, AGENT CARTER. (The latter also starred AGENT CARTER TV star Hayley Atwell.)
Per Marvel, AGENT CARTER “follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life–Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” along with the short “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.””
