THE SIMPSONS will lose a character in tonight’s season 26 premiere, but showrunner Al Jean admitted on a recent conference call that the death “may have been a little overhyped.”
“That being said, I think it’s a wonderful episode and I think it works along the parameters we originally set out,” Jean shared. “I think that people will really like it.”
(For the record, the death was exactly who I thought it would be, and I wasn’t disappointed by how the show played it out.)
And while animated series have a little bit of flexibility in terms of bending reality — and FAMILY GUY infamously killed off and then revived Brian last season — Jean promised the death that occurs in “Clown in the Dumps” will stick.

SLEEPY HOLLOW: Tom Mison Teases Ichabod’s (Eventual) Reunion with Henry, The Kindred, and More
September 26, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Sleepy Hollow
Last season, the SLEEPY HOLLOW gang formed the “ultimate collection of underdogs,” but this season things are different: Irving is in jail, Katrina is with Headless, and Henry is pretty freaking evil.
Of course, Henry’s evilness is complicated. As viewers (and Katrina and Ichabod) found out in the final moments of season 1, Henry revealed himself to be Jeremy, the Cranes’ presumed-dead son. And because of that deception, Ichabod and Henry/Jeremy will have very little face-to-face time in the earlier part of the show’s second season.
I sat down with Tom Mison (Ichabod) over the summer to talk about what Ichabod’s eventual reunion with his son could be like, what changes he’s felt in playing Ichabod over the past year, and which monster of season 2 has been his favorite so far…

Comments Off on BONES: Stephen Nathan Offers a Few Hopeful Season 10 Teases
BONES fans may have faced a painful loss in Thursday night’s season premiere, but there is a silver-lining to it: everyone else will be safe for the foreseeable future.
For other shows, that reassurance might not mean much. But with squintern Wendell battling cancer — and BONES boss Stephen Nathan teasing that “he’s going to be in pretty good shape initially” — after Sweets’ death, I asked for reassurance that the BONES family wouldn’t have to be bracing for another fatality.

Comments Off on BROOKLYN NINE-NINE: Terry Crews Teases Season 2
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE star Terry Crews (Sgt. Terry Jeffords) is game for anything.
Case in point: the season 2 premiere (which airs this Sunday) has Crews’ character pretending to be various people/objects that could potentially show up at the precinct…and it is amazingly hilarious.
I spoke with Crews about diving all in to the craziness the show throws at him — and how much freedom he has to make it his own — plus, what’s to come in season 2…

The GOTHAM roster of villains is bulking up.
In the third episode of the new Fox hit, “The Balloonman,” viewers will meet Sal Maroni (played by former DEXTER star David Zayas), a dangerous gangster who is vying for power with Falcone. And Maroni has an interesting history in the Batman universe as well: traditionally, he’s one of the Batman’s first enemies…and was responsible for disfiguring Harvey Dent (AKA Two-Face).

Intrigued by GRACEPOINT? The new Fox event series stars Scottish actor David Tennant, who also starred in the UK original BROADCHURCH, as the lead investigator of a murder that rips through a small town. Tennant recently spoke with reporters on a conference call, and we were there to get the scoop. Read on for the actor’s thoughts on the what makes GRACEPOINT different, doing an American accent, working with Anna Gunn, and, of course, snacks.

GOTHAM viewers got their first taste of Jim Gordon in the pilot, and the man has bitten off quite possibly more than he can chew: Gordon promised Bruce Wayne that he’d find out who killed the young man’s parents.
But there is one person who saw what went down with the Waynes’ murder: Selina Kyle.
I spoke with GOTHAM star Ben McKenzie about Jim’s relationship with Selina, the weight of his promise to Bruce, doing those action scenes, and more…
