SLEEPY HOLLOW Recap: ‘The Weeping Lady’
October 20, 2014 by Kelly Connolly
Every week is Halloween on SLEEPY HOLLOW, but this episode feels especially suited to the season, doesn’t it? The Weeping Lady is classically spooky. She’s a local legend made real, and she has a connection to Crane. Moloch could probably play Six Degrees of Ichabod Crane with his whole army at this point.
SUPERNATURAL: Jensen Ackles Teases ‘Soul Survivor’: ‘Things Get a Little Messy’

SUPERNATURAL star Jensen Ackles returns behind the camera to direct Tuesday night’s episode, “Soul Survivor,” but the hour is also a big one for his character, Dean, as Sam’s fight to remove the demon from his brother amps up. And, naturally, things don’t go totally as planned, so, as Ackles teases in the video below, “things get a little messy.”
Check out what else Ackles previewed about the hour…

PERSON OF INTEREST: Michael Emerson Teases ‘Prophets’ and Guest Star Jason Ritter

Jason Ritter is guest-starring on Tuesday’s episode of PERSON OF INTEREST as Simon Lee, a political pollster whose number comes up — and while Finch doesn’t necessarily trust Simon, series star Michael Emerson (Finch) pointed out his character is “capable of admiration for people with technical skills, programming skills. But also, people with a sound moral fiber, he likes.”
But, of course, characters liking each other on PERSON OF INTEREST doesn’t always lead to things going well. Check out what else Emerson teased about “Prophets”…

Comments Off on THE FLASH: Roger Howarth to Recur
THE FLASH’s Iris is getting a mentor: a rep for the series has confirmed that GENERAL HOSPITAL star Roger Howarth will recur as Mason Bridge, a reporter from the Central City Picture News. However, things won’t be so easy for Iris when Mason starts to investigate Dr. Wells. (And as of now, only viewers know how dangerous that could be.)
Howarth — who has also appeared on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, AS THE WORLD TURNS, and THE FLASH executive producer Greg Berlanti’s former show, DAWSON’S CREEK — will first appear as Mason in episode 11.
Deadline first reported the casting.
Are you excited to see Howarth on THE FLASH?
THE FLASH airs Tuesdays at 8 PM on The CW.

JANE THE VIRGIN just barely touched on Jane’s father, Rogelio, in the first episode (Jane has never known him, and is unaware he’s the star of a telenovela she watches), but he becomes a big presence in the next few episodes.
I spoke with JANE THE VIRGIN star Jaime Camil (Rogelio) about why he had to be on this series, what his character will think of the men in Jane’s life, some of Rogelio’s outrageousness, and more…
SLEEPY HOLLOW: Max Brown Cast as Orion

Comments Off on SLEEPY HOLLOW: Max Brown Cast as Orion
SLEEPY HOLLOW’s Abbie and Ichabod may be slowly losing many of their allies, but it seems they’ll have a new friend in the future — played by THE TUDORS/BEAUTY AND THE BEAST’s Max Brown.
A rep for the show has confirmed that Brown has signed on for the recurring role of Orion (and he’ll appear, as of now, in up to three episodes), who first appears in the Fox drama’s second half of the season. Per EW (who first reported the casting), his character is “a powerful and mysterious new ally known, at first, only as Orion—a charismatic soldier who possesses a game changing weapon.” (Should we perhaps be beefing up on our Greek mythology for a clue on this mysterious weapon?)
Are you excited to see Brown on SLEEPY HOLLOW?

Comments Off on SCREAM QUEENS: Fox Orders Comedy-Horror Anthology Series From GLEE Creators
Fox has issued a straight-to-series order for SCREAM QUEENS, a comedy-horror anthology, the network announced.
The series — which comes from GLEE creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan — will kick off in Fall 2015, with an installment that centers around “a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders.” Fox has ordered 15 episodes for the series’ first season, which is set to start production next spring. (If the show continues on for a second season, it will have new settings/storylines — like Murphy’s AMERICAN HORROR STORY — with every year.)

ONCE UPON A TIME: Jennifer Morrison and Colin O’Donoghue Tease Hook and Emma’s First Real Date
October 19, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Once Upon A Time
ONCE UPON A TIME’s Hook and Emma are going on what series star Colin O’Donoghue (Hook) has dubbed an “old-fashioned date” in tonight’s episode, and it will allow viewers to see a new side to the duo’s relationship.
“They’re trying to have some sort of normal relationship –” O’Donoghue told reporters on the show’s set earlier this week.
“We’re never going to have a normal relationship,” Jennifer Morrison (Emma) jokingly interjected.
“[And] the date itself goes really well, but there are other struggles that arc on behind it,” O’Donoghue continued. “Hook has made a deal with Rumpelstiltskin to get his hand back so that he can have it to be able to hold Emma, as he says. He’s worried the hand is cursed. He doesn’t want to have any secrets from Emma, and he’s worried by having this…but the date goes well.”
THE AFFAIR: Joshua Jackson on the Show’s Unique Format
October 19, 2014 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, The Affair
Showtime’s new series, THE AFFAIR, is unlike anything on television: yes, the show follows the unfolding of an affair — told via flashbacks while its two participants, Noah and Alison, are questioned individually about what led to someone’s death — but what viewers see is directly relating to how the two characters remember what went down. The slight (and occasionally, major) differences help make the drama a show you can’t look away from.
But Alison and Noah aren’t the only two characters whose story we’re seeing in THE AFFAIR: viewers are also introduced to their spouses, Cole and Helen, who we only know from what other characters observe.
I spoke with THE AFFAIR star Joshua Jackson (Cole) about the show’s unique format, playing a character who exists (as of now) solely in other people’s perspective, and more…
