Bravo is debuting its first scripted series, GIRLFRIENDS’ GUIDE TO DIVORCE, tonight, and not only is it filled with people whom television fans will recognize (the series stars HOUSE’s Lisa Edelstein, PRIVATE PRACTICE’s Paul Adelstein, 24’s Janeane Garofalo, RAKE’s Necar Zadegan, and CRIMINAL MINDS: SUSPECT BEHAVIOR’s Beau Garrett) and written by Marti Noxon (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, PRIVATE PRACTICE, GLEE), but it’s also a genuinely amusing/touching show. (I’ve had the chance to watch the first two episodes.)
Earlier this year, I visited the show’s Vancouver set, and Edelstein and Adelstein spoke with reporters about their new Bravo series…

I was not prepared for the mid-season finale of SLEEPY HOLLOW. I thought I was, but that was a mistake. Then again, nothing really could have prepared me for this. Sound like a certain apocalypse to anyone?

Comments Off on NBC Sets Premiere Date — and Finale — For PARKS AND RECREATION’s Final Season
Some bittersweet PARKS AND RECREATION news: NBC has set both its season premiere and series finale dates.
The final season will kick off on Tuesday, January 13th at 8 PM with back-to-back episodes. The show will continue that pattern until it concludes with an hour-long series finale on Tuesday, February 24th, following THE VOICE.
“Mike Schur and Amy Poehler, along with their incredible producers, cast, and crew, have given us one of the great television comedies of all time, and we’re inordinately proud of ‘Parks and Recreation,’” said NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt in a statement. “In an effort to give it the send-off it deserves, we wanted to ‘eventize’ the final season to maximize the impact of these episodes, which really do take the show to a new level. The highly-anticipated one-hour finale will air behind ‘The Voice’ in order to lead the largest audience possible into what promises to be a very special hour of television.”
“Critics, viewers and all of us at NBC fell in love with this endearing, funny, heartfelt show and its authentic cast of characters,” added Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. “After seven amazing seasons, saying goodbye to the folks of Pawnee will be bittersweet, so we want to give the show and its fans the most impactful final season possible.”

THE FLASH-ARROW Crossover: Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, and Andrew Kreisberg Tease ‘Flash vs. Arrow’

Comments Off on THE FLASH-ARROW Crossover: Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, and Andrew Kreisberg Tease ‘Flash vs. Arrow’
THE FLASH and ARROW have been loosely tied together since Barry Allen debuted on ARROW a year ago, but this week, the dramas embark on a full-on crossover as Team Arrow visits THE FLASH in “Flash vs. Arrow,” while Team Flash pops over on ARROW during “The Brave and the Bold.”
“The best thing you can do is it’s not just a gimmick,” ARROW/THE FLASH executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told reporters earlier this season. “[These crossovers are] also advancing the storylines that we’ve been telling and your characters really grow…both of these crossovers, they’re not just about the crossovers of the cast — they are really important episodes for what Barry has been going through, and what Oliver’s going through. We have one of the biggest surprises of ARROW of all time on THE FLASH episode [of the crossover]. And both episodes are really important for Barry’s growth.”
“It was fun to have the dynamic back from when I was [first] on ARROW a year ago,” THE FLASH star Grant Gustin (Barry) added. “That was when I met Barry, and he was so fun and awkward, and the dynamic between him and Oliver was so fun. And we got to recreate that. And it’s evolved. It’s really different than anything else on the show, which is nice.”
For more on the crossover, Gustin and ARROW star Stephen Amell (Oliver) teased a few more secrets while speaking with reporters on the shows’ Vancouver sets…
