GOTHAM: Robin Lord Taylor on the Power Counterbalance Between Fish and Penguin
January 25, 2015 by Marisa Roffman
GOTHAM is undergoing a change of power.
Fish took a big risk by “kidnapping” Liza, a woman Falcone was very fond of (whom Fish had planted in Falcone’s life). Unfortunately for her, Penguin informed Falcone it was all a ruse, and Fish’s life is now in danger…and Penguin suddenly has more power than ever.
“As Penguin becomes more powerful, Fish does not,” Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin) explained in the video interview below. “They are enemies, they are counterbalances to each other…we’re going to see that change, which I think is really exciting. But, also, in terms of delighting in it, what I like about it is I think Penguin does have a certain fondness for her…he owes her a lot.”
Check out more from Taylor about his take on what’s going on with Fish and Penguin, as well as his character’s ambitions…
