During SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’s 40th anniversary, one of the montage segments that was put together featured snippets from the original auditions of several cast members…and a few people who didn’t make the cut.
What’s impressive about this video is how many of the “known” characters from the show were there from the start. And, of course, many of them look so young.
Check out the original auditions montage SNL played during its 40th anniversary celebration…

One of the best things about SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE can be if the actors can’t quite keep it together during a sketch. Over the show’s 40 year run, it’s happened more than a few times, and for the brand new digital short during the series’ 40th anniversary celebration, former cast members Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg sang an ode to breaking…

CASTLE: David Amann Teases the ‘Fantastic’ ‘Reckoning’

3XK/Jerry Tyson returned to the CASTLE scene in a major way with Monday’s episode, “Resurrection”: after being presumed-dead, he resurfaced (along with Dr. Nieman) long enough to claim he was another man who had surgery to look like Tyson…and for Beckett to be drugged and kidnapped, while Tyson and Nieman were at the precinct.
The second hour of the show’s nearly-annual two-parter, “Reckoning,” is perhaps even more intense than “Resurrection” (and maybe ten times as twisted), a fact CASTLE boss David Amann attributed, in part, to the team who helped bring it to life.

The CW has set a May 21st season 3 premiere date for BEAUTY AND THE BEST…and renewed the show for season 4. (Season 4 will air at some point during the 2015-2016 season.)
So what’s in store for season 3? Per The CW, “As season three begins, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) are able to focus on their love, finally free from Muirfield, manhunts and beasts. However, that love will be tested as new and more dangerous threats await. When they learn that innocent victims are being used to test the boundaries of the impossible, Cat and Vincent will uncover a deeper conspiracy, one which Vincent can fight only by turning to the beast he carries within. But unleashing the beast will risk Vincent’s life – along with his and Cat’s love – as they struggle to build a normal life together.”

CONSTANTINE’s Angélica Celaya on Finding Zed’s Purpose

Comments Off on CONSTANTINE’s Angélica Celaya on Finding Zed’s Purpose
Since her introduction into the CONSTANTINE world, Zed has helped the team with her visions. While those visions occasionally caused her physical trauma, it took Zed collapsing at a hospital last week for the truth to come out: she has a tumor. And despite the risks of not dealing with it, Zed opted to live with it and not chance losing the gift she was given.
“We all know Zed has a brain tumor! It’s really that moment, that human moment, for Zed that we saw last week — okay, I have these visions and I have this tumor, and this tumor is what I have to suffer to do the greater good,” CONSTANTINE star Angélica Celaya (Zed) explained. “And she kept asking Manny, ‘Is this from God, or if it’s not, what is this?’ And just [him] being Manny, and being in his presence, just confirmed that it is from God, and she needs to sacrifice herself for the greater good. Zed’s mindset is suck it up, it’s showtime. She finally feels purpose.”
“She was running away from her family — which we touched a little bit through the season: her family trying to kidnap her — and anyone who is a true fan of [the] “Hellblazer” [comics] knows what that past is, and that her father is the leader of the cult, and basically wants to kidnap her,” she continued. “Zed does not want that purpose. She wants her own purpose, her own journey, her own destiny. And she finally found it last episode, saying, ‘This is what I have to do, I know exactly what I’m doing now.’ That’s Zed’s mindset: time to rock and roll, baby.
While Zed may have found her zen with the tumor, the reveal initially threw Celaya.
