BONES: Stephen Nathan and Emily Deschanel on Brennan’s Pregnancy, Season 11 and More

Hey BONES fans!

(Note: Big spoilers below!)

BONES showrunner Stephen Nathan and series star Emily Deschanel (Brennan) took time today to answer questions from the press. Here’s what we’ve learned so far.

1. They expect Brennan’s pregnancy announcement to take place in episode 15.

2. The pregnancy will cause emotional stress to Brennan, but there are no plans for any medical or physical complications for Brennan.

3. They are anticipating using a time jump while preparing for a not-yet-officially-ordered season 11, and Stephen Nathan stated that we won’t see a Booth-Brennan baby birth this season.

4. Booth’s relapse into gambling does occur around the same time Brennan finds out about her pregnancy, and it causes ripples to go out to the team.

5.  The show has more than one ‘big bad’ planned — Nathan says it’s “an interesting new serial killer who appears and gets somewhat resolved in the second half of the season and is resolved when someone is on death row and about to be executed. At the very end, someone will resurface from beyond the grave and comes back to alter everyone’s life yet again. People who are committed to the show will know about Pelant — he himself is dead, but the effects of his life have not gone away.”

    I am going to have to hope for the best, because despite Nathan saying its going to be a good second half I am disheartened that basically Booth and Brennan are no longer partners and most of the partner scenes are going to him and Aubry. Who told Nathan we don’t want Booth and Brennan to be partners anymore? Just because they are married doesn’t mean we do not want them to work with each other anymore and of course this is going to be more pronounced because of her pregnancy I watch this show for Booth and Brennan NOT Aubry. I hope they get a last season so they can correct this year

    I to watch Bones for B&B, when Audrey came aboard, the show focused on Booth & Audrey. B&B are my favorites, well actually BRENNAN is my favorite, but I love the chemistry of B&B. If the second half and hopefully season 11 is about Audrey & Booth, as much as I love Bones, I will be tempted or convinced to not watch anymore. BRENNAN is suppose to be the main star & Booth her co-star, We want to see THEM, not fill-ins. I would actually like to see them in every scene, and not just a few seconds here and there, but I know that is not realistic. Also we only see B&B together for few seconds at the end, please, please let’s see them together longer than last few seconds. I am excited to see the new episodes starting tonight. I’m hoping & praying for a season 11 & more. As I always say, this is best Show on TV.
