BONES: ‘The Eye in the Sky’ Teases

BONES is tackling two big topics in tonight’s new episode: Brennan’s pregnancy reveal and Booth’s gambling relapse.

While there are only a few hours to go until “The Eye in the Sky” airs, I do have a few teases/thoughts about the episode…

At this point, Brennan’s pregnancy is the worst kept secret, and by now, even the scene of the scene of the reveal is out there. If you haven’t seen it and can wait, I’d suggest doing that. (But yes, it’s adorable.)
Booth and Brennan plan on keeping their good news a secret, but their pure giddiness makes everyone around them more than a little suspicious. How long will they be able to keep their baby secret?
On top of all the B/B excitement and drama, Hodgins’ status as King of the Lab gets further cemented as he works out something that could permanently change his (and his family’s) life.
Booth’s gambling relapse appears to be — at least from what I’ve seen/heard from fans — one of the more divisive storylines this season. I don’t doubt it’ll remain that way once people see it. David Boreanaz (Booth), Emily Deschanel (Brennan), and John Boyd (Aubrey) are excellent with the material. (Everyone is looped into what’s going on, but that trio is given the bulk of the work to do, and they crush it.) For me, the most honest/genuine scene of the entire storyline (so far) is the final one of “The Eye in the Sky.” But I imagine many won’t agree.
