BONES 206: The Heart of the Show
April 27, 2015 by Sarah Curtis
The BONES 200th episode was such a huge milestone and production that it’s no wonder the 206th episode may come and go with a bit less fanfare. But, as fans, we know that the 206th is special—after all, there are 206 bones in the human body! With that in mind, we wanted to do a little something special to mark the occasion.
We found a list of all 206 bones (thank you Wikipedia!) and were surprised to learn that all of the bones can be grouped into five categories: vertebral column, chest, head, arm, and leg. From there, we assigned each category a show representation:
- Vertebral Column (What’s the backbone of the show?)
- Chest (What are the defining emotions or heart of the show?)
- Head (What is unique in terms of the show’s smarts and respect of intelligence?)
- Arm (What’s the show’s outward focus; how does BONES affect culture?)
- Leg (What has carried the show over the long haul?)
Between now and when the 206th episode airs (Thursday, April 30th), we’ll be covering one category per day. We have our thoughts, and we also have input from some of the cast and crew of the show. We’ve covered the backbone of the show, and now it’s time to talk about the heart.

Comments Off on GOTHAM’s Robin Lord Taylor on the Fan Response to Penguin: ‘It’s Validating’
As GOTHAM’s first season nears its end (there are two episodes left this year), things are getting increasingly crazy for the Penguin. But as he makes his power play, his portrayer, Robin Lord Taylor, is just thankful for how “validating” the reception has been to his character.
“I know that he makes bad decisions, and he hurts people, but at the same time, I find him sympathetic in a way,” he explained in the video below. “And I’m glad other people do, too.”
Check out what else Taylor had to say about playing Penguin this year…

STALKER: Kevin Williamson Previews Beth’s Battle with Ray

Comments Off on STALKER: Kevin Williamson Previews Beth’s Battle with Ray
STALKER has been off the air since February, but the series returns on Monday, April 27th, with a big hour: the resolution to Beth’s kidnapping (at the hand of her long-time, just-released-from-jail stalker, Ray).
“It’s interesting, because this is a show that’s gone through so many transformations, from the first idea years ago, ’til now,” STALKER creator Kevin Williamson admitted about waiting out the show’s (planned) hiatus. “It’s been hard. It’s been…a little nerve-wracking to not know when we were going to air. They did a bit of a shuffle. I really hope the audience can find it on the 27th. At least our core audience — I do want to satisfy the core audience we do have, and make sure they see it; it’s the climax to our season-long Ray/Perry/Beth storyline.”
Though most shows might have waited until the final episodes of the season to truly dive into Beth’s stalkers — and her fight against them — the STALKER writers opted to have her face Ray head-on with a few episodes to go in season 1.
BONES: Hart Hanson on Why Episode 206 Will Just Be a ‘Good, Solid’ Hour

Comments Off on BONES: Hart Hanson on Why Episode 206 Will Just Be a ‘Good, Solid’ Hour
This Thursday, BONES will be celebrating a special hour: episode 206 is not only the number of bones in the human body, but it’ll also make the series the longest running one-hour drama from the show’s studio, 20th Century Fox.
And while it’s a milestone, the hour will be fairly run-of-the-mill for logistical reasons, BONES creator Hart Hanson explained in the video below. In addition to coming very close to the show’s 200th episode massive production, the writers were also trying to balance not knowing whether they’d have to plan for a season or series finale.

Comments Off on WAYWARD PINES’ Cast and Executive Producer Share Why You Should Watch the New Fox Drama
WAYWARD PINES, the new Fox mystery event drama, won’t have its official Fox debut until May 14th, but the pilot is now streaming (until April 30th) to give fans a sneak peek at what to expect.
The series follows a Secret Service agent (played by Matt Dillion) who is trying to track down missing agents, and is led to Wayward Pines. But finding Wayward Pines is much easier than figuring out what the heck is going on in the town…or trying to get out.
Given the show’s twists and turns, it’s not incredibly easy to talk about. So series stars Reed Diamond (Harold) and Tim Griffin (Adam), as well as executive producer Donald De Line gave their best (spoiler-free) pitch about why you should check out the show…

BONES Recap: ‘The Eye in the Sky’

Hello BONES fans — how are you doing after this episode, “The Eye in the Sky”? I have to admit that, for me, it was — to use a BONES-phrase — heart-crushing. It’s been a while since that has happened to me! I liked the opening scene about a new B&B baby, but by the time I’d finished watching this episode, I was just tremendously sad. I’m still processing it actually. And somehow, the fact that David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel (and others) played the whole thing so perfectly makes it both ache more and less at the same time. I’m not sure how, haha! More on this later, but for now let’s discuss the rest of the episode. Starting with… Read more
