CBS Upfronts: Nina Tassler on THE GOOD WIFE and PERSON OF INTEREST’s Future; Bradley Cooper to Recur on LIMITLESS

CBS has already revealed a bunch of news — including its 2015-2016 schedule, and the confirmation that CSI is ending (as well Ted Danson moving over to CSI: CYBER) — but there were a few other tidbits to note…

• LIMITLESS will pop up Tuesdays at 10 PM, and it’ll have a familiar face in the pilot: LIMITLESS (film) star, Bradley Cooper. According to CBS, he’s set to recur whenever he’s available.
• PERSON OF INTEREST is being held for midseason — along with returning shows 2 BROKE GIRLS, MIKE & MOLLY, THE ODD COUPLE, UNDERCOVER BOSS, and newbies RUSH HOUR and the CRIMINAL MINDS spinoff, CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS — but there has been some concern about whether this season would be a shorter order…and possibly the end. And while the order will be a bit shorter (they didn’t announce a number of episodes), how long the show continues is still up in the air. “We’re having that conversation now with the team,” CBS boss Nina Tassler said. “It’s always been a really smart, creative show. If it is [the end of the show], then we’ll have a great ending.” (While, ideally, I’d love POI to continue beyond this year, the most important thing is CBS talking with the EPs. If it’s going to end, end it with them knowing/prepping for the show’s endgame.)
• Similarly, CBS wouldn’t commit to whether THE GOOD WIFE would be ending this season, but Tassler indicated they’d want more of it as long as the Kings were willing to keep writing.
