Playstation has renewed POWERS for a second season.
“The reception to Powers has been incredible and we are thrilled to have successfully launched a platform for original content with the PlayStation gamer in mind,” said John Koller, Vice President of Platforms Marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America, in a statement. “We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as we broaden the value proposition for PlayStation Plus, and we’re excited for what’s to come with season two of Powers.”
“We are to grateful to the PlayStation nation and fans of Powers for supporting us and making the second season a reality,” said POWERS co-creator and executive producer, Brian Michael Bendis. “I speak for the entire cast & crew when I say that we are really excited about season two and the opportunity to tell the story of the biggest case in Powers history.”
“We are proud to continue our collaboration with the PlayStation team to bring premium original programming to PlayStation Network,” said Zack Van Amburg, President, Programming and Development, Sony Pictures Television.
POWERS will return in 2016.

Former THE GOOD WIFE star Josh Charles will guest star on MASTERS OF SEX’s upcoming third season, Showtime announced.
Charles — who played Will Gardner on the CBS drama before his exit last year — will recur in a season-long arc on MASTERS as Daniel Logan, a “self-made businessman working in the scent industry.” He crosses paths with Virginia and Bill when he sets out to “bottle the smell of sex and market an aphrodisiac to the general public,” and his relationship with them is deemed “complicated.”

“As usual, we get to the end of the season, [and] we like to break things,” PERSON OF INTEREST co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan laughed when we spoke last month. “We don’t like to have to make these phone calls in which we let people know their character is being killed off, [but] we had to make an awful lot of them…That’s a bummer, but it means for the audience lots of thrills and surprises.”

FOREVER resolved the mystery of what happened to Abigail in the last episode, but the impact of that will extend beyond the hour: now that Henry knows his wife killed herself because she didn’t want to lead Adam to Henry, the fight between the two immortal men has turned deeply personal.

Last week we had this beautiful conclusion to this romance spanning several decades, and then suddenly, in the finale, we’re back to a whole other thing,” FOREVER star Ioan Gruffudd (Henry) gushed. “We’re back to the here and now, and the danger of Henry’s secrets being exposed again. NBC has announced that SCRUBS stars Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Neil Flynn, and Christa Miller, as well as Kate Walsh, Minnie Driver, Victoria Justice, and Dr. Drew Pinskey will appear in Tuesday night’s live episode. (UNDATEABLE co-creator Bill Lawrence also created SCRUBS.) Additionally, NBC teased to expect “a super popular Grammy Award-nominated musician and others we can’t name — even though we really want to.”
UNDATEABLE’s live one-hour episode will be filmed twice: once for the 9 PM ET and once for the 9 PM PT airings.
