DEADBEAT will return for a third season, Hulu announced.
The series follows a medium (Tyler Labine’s Kevin), who attempts to bring peace to ghosts. (SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE’s Cat Deeley plays his deliciously evil rival, Camomile.)
“DEADBEAT is a uniquely imaginative and charming series,” said Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President and Head of Content, Hulu, in a statement. “We are very happy to bring it back for another hilarious season and look forward to sharing new ghostly stories.”
The third season will be 13 episodes.

SLEEPY HOLLOW: Heather Kadin Previews Season 3’s Big Bad, Mining Abbie/Ichabod’s Relationship, and More
May 21, 2015 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Sleepy Hollow
While we’re still months out from SLEEPY HOLLOW returning to our television screens, the writers are currently hard at work crafting the upcoming third season. And though the second season went through a few rough spots, the writers are aiming to go back to what worked, versus trying to completely reinvent the show.
“I don’t think it should feel as much as changes, as a return to what we loved in season 1,” SLEEPY HOLLOW executive producer Heather Kadin shared. “Obviously there are changes in the sense Katrina’s not there, Henry’s not there, Irving’s not there. But we really want to bring back the fun in the relationship between Abbie and Crane.”
“I think the big focus is going to be, how do we get back to what people love?” she continued. “How do we give Abbie a real journey? How do we give Crane a real journey? How are those things both independent and complimentary of one another? And we also have to expand the world, so what are we saying about Sleepy Hollow as a place, as a mythology, but also telling closed-ended stories?”
Though there were indications earlier this year SLEEPY HOLLOW might end up more episodic, Kadin indicated there shouldn’t be any sort of drastic shift coming.
#ThanksDave! A 35-Year-Old Non-Comedian’s Tribute to Letterman

Last November, Marisa, Kelly, and I took to the blog to talk about what TV items we were thankful for in 2014. One of mine was David Letterman, and the way his retirement had brought about a renaissance of his whole Dave-ness. Since he announced his retirement a year ago, I’ve DVRd (and not missed) an episode, and it has been wonderful. There have been so many posts on the interwebs by seriously famous and funny people, and underlying most, if not all, of them is recognition that it’s just not going to be the same without Dave.
So many people have shared about watching Dave for the first time, and how it changed their lives. I was born May 1st, 1980, and Dave started his morning show 50+ days later on June 23rd, 1980. So I didn’t see that; that didn’t change my life. My prime David Letterman years were when I was in high school and college, so mid-late 90s and early 00s.

THE STRAIN is returning to FX on Sunday, July 12th, at 10 PM, FX announced.
Per FX, “as the second season unfolds, the transformation has begun. It can no longer be denied — New York City is rapidly falling to an evil epidemic, and no one is coming to its rescue. Its citizens must fight or die. Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and his unlikely allies tried to take down the embodiment of this evil — the Master — and failed. Now Eph and Dr. Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro) concentrate on creating a biological weapon to wipe out the creatures, while Abraham Setrakian (David Bradley) searches for an ancient book he hopes will reveal the strigoi’s entire history…and possibly a way to kill them. Meanwhile, the Master is out for revenge, unleashing new and even more terrifying breeds of bloodthirsty creatures after our team. Our team must find a way to defeat him before the infection spreads too far and becomes irreparable … before they become monsters themselves.”

EXTANT: Halle Berry, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and EPs Preview Season 2

Comments Off on EXTANT: Halle Berry, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and EPs Preview Season 2
EXTANT season 2 is returning this summer, and there are changes in store. Among them? Jeffrey Dean Morgan has joined the cast (season 1 male lead, Goran Visnjic (John), will be back in a “limited capacity”) as JD, in a role which was written for him.
“I wasn’t familiar with the show…I hadn’t seen any of the episodes from last year, and they didn’t want me to watch them,” Morgan told reporters during a panel for the show, noting that this season is very much a reboot. However, the idea of working with EXTANT star Halle Berry (Molly) every day was “so exciting for me as an actor…this is a new little jaunt for me into this world.”
“He was the only guy we wanted [for the role],” EXTANT executive producer Liz Kruger shared.
As for the show itself, the writers have set out to tell a complete story in the upcoming season season.
