COACH will not have a second life at NBC.
The revival of the comedy series will not be moving forward, a source confirms. The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the news.
The comedy was set to star original series star Craig T. Nelson, with COACH creator Barry Kemp leading up the revival as well.
NBC touted the series earlier this month at TCA, and during its Upfronts presentation, it gave a tease about what the story was supposed to be: “Hayden Fox’s story picks up 18 years later when the retired coach gets back in the game to assist his son, who was just hired as head coach at an Ivy League university in Pennsylvania… where they know nothing about sports. Between dealing with the eggheads on campus and his hostile daughter-in-law at home, Coach will soon learn that he’s not in Minnesota anymore. Talk about a Hail Mary!”

We’re excited to present the final chapter in Chester’s Mill as the story comes full circle, with the Dome coming down as dramatically as it went up.”

Comments Off on GOTHAM Season 2 Premiere Sneak Peek: Barbara Meets Jerome in Arkham
GOTHAM season 2 is deep-diving into the city’s infamous villains, and the first clip from the season premiere teases an interesting new duo.
With Barbara, Jim’s former fiancee, now in Arkham Asylum, Jerome (the possible Joker) decides to befriend her. And he’s absolutely delighted to learn they have some pretty twisted things in common. Of course, as we’ve learned, Barbara has her own opinion about how things should go down, so she doesn’t take his offer of friendship quite the way Jerome expected.

PERSON OF INTEREST: The Cast, Writers Pick Which Episodes Will Hook You

PERSON OF INTEREST — arguably one of the best dramas on television right now — is finally coming to Netflix and syndication (on WGN America, at 7 PM) on September 1st. (Only the first three seasons of POI will be on Netflix streaming this week — season 4 will be available on September 22nd; )
To boil the show down to its simplest terms, PERSON OF INTEREST follows an ex-CIA agent (Jim Caviezel’s John Reese) and a brilliant billionaire (Michael Emerson’s Harold Finch) as they attempt to stop violent crimes before they occur — using social security numbers generated by an all-seeing Machine, which can pinpoint a likely occurrence. (Complicating matters? They don’t know whether the number they get is going to be the victim or the perpetrator.) Since they can’t do it alone, through the show’s four seasons, they’ve had help — in varying ways — from Taraji P. Henson’s Carter, Kevin Chapman’s Fusco, Amy Acker’s Root, and Sarah Shahi’s Shaw.
If you haven’t watched the show, you absolutely should make your way through the entire series. The drama’s evolution from focusing more purely on case of the week (while having little tidbits of mythology sprinkled in) to deep-diving into the Machine — including its war with another A.I. — has been fascinating and compelling journey. And since the show’s upcoming fifth season is returning midseason, you absolutely have time to catch up on the 90 hours that have aired so far.
But if you need a starting place, PERSON OF INTEREST executive producers Greg Plageman and Denise Thé, as well as stars Chapman and Acker, shared a few episodes you should check out…

For as fabulous as YOU’RE THE WORST’s first season was — and if you haven’t seen it, please remedy that ASAP: the first season is on DVD and streaming on Hulu — there was one key moment that was filmed that didn’t make it to our television screens: a Lindsay and Edgar kiss.
“The uninteresting answer is it was a really long episode, and I needed to cut something,” YOU’RE THE WORST creator Stephen Falk shared. “It wasn’t a significant kiss; it was a silly kiss.”
The moment in question was supposed to come in the episode, “Equally Dead Inside,” where Edgar and Lindsay came to the (horrifying) realization that they may be sidekicks in their friends’ lives. And after they grew tired of being stood up, the duo came up with their own plan to get back at Jimmy and Gretchen.

Hosted by comedian Aisha Tyler, cast members Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie, along with guest comedian Greg Proops, put their comedic skills to the test through a series of spontaneous improv games that are prompted only by random ideas supplied by the studio audience. The four performers must use the little information they have and their wild imaginations to depict different characters and an array of scenes, as well as perform songs. After each round of improvisation, Aisha will dole out points to our four performers and declare a winner at the end of every episode.

When IZOMBIE returns this fall, the show will have solid ground, tone-wise, after finding its footing in the show’s shortened first season.
“I think people will be happy with where we pick up from,” said IZOMBIE star Rahul Kohli (Ravi) in the video below. “I think IZOMBIE came into its own and became a stronger show once the balance between the procedural element and serialized elements [was worked out.]”

Comments Off on LIMITLESS Stages DEXTER Reunion: Desmond Harrington to Guest Star
There’s a DEXTER reunion coming on the new CBS drama, LIMITLESS.
Desmond Harrington (who played Quinn on the long-running Showtime series) has signed on to guest star opposite LIMITLESS/DEXTER star Jennifer Carpenter, a rep for CBS has confirmed. The Hollywood Reporter was first to reveal the casting.
Harrington will play Casey Rooks, an agent with the FBI who is tasked to give Jake McDorman’s Brian Finch basic training. But since Brian has taken the NZT that was introduced in the Bradley Cooper-led 2011 LIMITLESS film, Brian’s ease at picking up the training has Casey suspicious.
And, yes, Harrington and Carpenter will interact: according to THR, Casey and Carpenter’s Agent Harris are having a secret affair. (Their characters were also romantically involved on DEXTER.)
Harrington is set to first appear in LIMITLESS’ fifth episode.
LIMITLESS premieres Tuesday, September 22nd at 10 PM on CBS.

With Headless, Henry, and Katrina out of the picture in SLEEPY HOLLOW’s upcoming third season, the show is bringing in a new force of evil to test Team Witness.
“There’s going to be a new villain that people haven’t seen before, who is going to bring a lot of havoc,” SLEEPY HOLLOW co-creator Alex Kurtzman shared.
The baddie won’t be the only new face who is new in SLEEPY HOLLOW’s third season: Nikki Reed (who is playing Betsy Ross), Shannyn Sossamon (who is playing Pandora), and Lance Gross (who is playing Abbie’s boss, Daniel Reynolds) have joined the Fox series, full-time. (Season 2 guest star Zach Appelman, who played Corbin’s son, Joe, is also now a regular cast member.)
