Phil and Carol left Tuscon to get a fresh start at the end of THE LAST MAN ON EARTH’s first season. And while the first few photos of the new season don’t show a whole lot of where the duo end up, there’s a “Kraft Korner” which could either be promising or Phil’s worst nightmare.

In the next mystery box challenge, the Top Five home cooks must create a dish using pear, blue cheese, tomato, portabella mushroom and chocolate. The winner of the challenge receives two advantages: first, he/she will be safe from elimination; then the challenge winner will choose which of four different baskets filled with ingredients – put together on his/her own and with three former MASTERCHEF winners – the remaining contestants must cook with. PERSON OF INTEREST: Michael Emerson on the Show’s WGN America Run, Season 5’s ‘Events’

WGN America’s “Prime Crime” lineup is welcoming PERSON OF INTEREST to the mix on Tuesday, September 1st.

The network will air the first three episodes of the CBS drama — which just happens to be one of the best shows on television — from 7-10 PM ET/4-7 PM PT. The mini-marathon will continue over the next two weeks as WGN America airs POI and ELEMENTARY back-to-back for a total of 100 installments of the two shows. (There is also a Labor Day marathon planned, which will consist of six hours of each show.)

The move could be a big one for PERSON OF INTEREST — with the series not airing until midseason, this gives new fans the chance to catch up before the shortened fifth season launches on CBS.

SCORPION: Jadyn Wong and Eddie Kaye Thomas on Toby and Happy’s Relationship, Season 2

As SCORPION’s first season unfolded, Toby and Happy’s fantastic friendship/flirtation was a pleasant highlight. And as fans connected to the pairing throughout the year, they weren’t the only ones who realized something special was going on.

“It’s really fun that we get invested in these characters,”  Eddie Kaye Thomas (Toby) told reporters in the video below. “It’s a very insulated world when we’re shooting. We work really hard, we work really long days. And then through social media, through being out in the world, you get to see people are invested. It gives me goosebumps: the fact that we do all this work, that people see it, and we get to entertain people…it’s a really cool thing.”

Syfy Renews DARK MATTER, KILLJOYS

Syfy has renewed DARK MATTER and KILLJOYS for their second seasons, the network announced.

The KILLJOYS renewal is for a 10-episode sophomore year. DARK MATTER’s order is for 13 episodes.

“With exciting space-based action, deep world building, and a standout cast, KILLJOYS has struck a nerve with viewers and critics alike,” said Bill McGoldrick, Executive Vice President, Original Content, Syfy, in a statement. “We can’t wait to see what adventures Michelle Lovretta and Temple Street take Dutch, John and D’avin on in season two.”

“With its mysterious premise and fascinating characters, DARK MATTER has built an incredibly loyal, passionate and engaged fan base,” said Chris Regina, Senior Vice President, Program Strategy, Syfy. “We look forward to another out-of-the-world season from this talented creative team.”
