BROOKLYN NINE-NINE has nabbed PARKS AND REC star Nick Offerman for a November guest spot, Fox announced. (Offerman previously worked with BROOKLYN NINE-NINE bosses Michael Schur and Dan Goor on PARKS AND REC.)
Offerman will play an ex-boyfriend of Andre Braugher’s Holt, which is just…amazingly perfect?!
Anyone else stoked to see Offerman and Braugher as exes?

THE FLASH: Teddy Sears on Playing Jay Garrick

Comments Off on THE FLASH: Teddy Sears on Playing Jay Garrick
THE FLASH introduced Jay Garrick at the very end of last week’s season premiere, as Jay arrived at STAR Labs to deliver a warning to Barry.
It marked the first time Jay had appeared in a live-action story, something that delighted his portrayer, Teddy Sears.
“It’s thrilling…I didn’t anticipate how thrilling it was going to be when I said yes,” Sears told reporters after a recent screening of THE FLASH. “What I didn’t anticipate was how important it felt when I was doing it. It’s weird, and hokey, and maybe very actor-y, but there was something very important that began happening. And most specifically, putting on that helmet…there was a real awe and reverence for seeing this thing. That was absolutely not acted at all. There was such substance in that moment. I keep coming back to this moment of ‘Wow, this feels really important.’ I can’t sum it up any better than that.”
Jay’s Flash costume is very distinctive — and could have posed a problem translating to a real-life outfit.

FARGO: Patrick Wilson on Taking Liberties with Lou, the Solverson’s Family Troubles

Comments Off on FARGO: Patrick Wilson on Taking Liberties with Lou, the Solverson’s Family Troubles
FARGO’s second installment is telling a unique story to what the first year of the show told, but there is one throughline: Lou Solverson, who will be played this season by Patrick Wilson. (An older version of Lou was portrayed by Keith Carradine in the first season.)
But because the events of this season impact who Lou was when viewers met him in season 1, Wilson explained the creative team thought it would be best for him to not completely emulate what Carradine had done.)
“I love Keith’s performance, but then in talking to [FARGO creator] Noah [Hawley], you also want to take your liberties where it’s a different Lou at this point,” Wilson said on the show’s Calgary set. “A lot of the events that happen in this season are what he refers to [in FARGO season 1], shaping, probably, who he is. So that gave me a little freedom to not sit there and feel like I had to mimic every character thing he had.”
Check out more from Wilson, including teases about the family issues Lou is dealing with in FARGO’s second season…

JANE THE VIRGIN left its fans with one heck of a cliffhanger.
After Jane spent all season pregnant, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy…only to have him immediately get kidnapped.
“The second season is not the story of how they get the baby back; the baby comes back,” JANE THE VIRGIN creator Jennie Snyder Urman reassured.
But that’s just the start of the drama that’s in store for the sophomore season of the CW series. I spoke with Snyder Urman about the lessons she took from season 1, how Mateo’s kidnapping will change Jane, the triangle, and more…
