April 23, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
Monday’s “In Search of Lost Time” is “an emotionally charged episode” of SUPERGIRL, executive producer Robert Rovner teased to reporters.
With Myr’nn (guest star Carl Lumbly) deteriorating, “we have J’onn facing his father’s illness head-on and being forced to deal with that,” Rovner previewed. And while J’onn (David Harewood) may think he has things under control, Myr’nn accidentally sets off a chain of events while distressed.

As J’onn is trying to grasp with how to best handle his father, Kara (Melissa Benoist) sets out to learn some of Mon-El’s (Chris Woof) futuristic fighting techniques. “Kara and Mon-El are starting to train together,” Rovner explained. “We’re really excited—outside of the emotional [progress] and the breakthrough they have in the episode—about the cape magic we discovered in the previous episode.”
But will the breakthrough(s) last? Check back for more from Rovner after tonight’s episode.
