“We are not born equal. We must be made equal by the fire. And then we can be happy.”
Welcome to FAHRENHEIT 451, HBO’s adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s classic book. In the novel, America has outlawed books—and they’re actively burned/eliminated. While much of society goes along with it, fireman Montag (Michael B. Jordan) begins to doubt his orders. (Michael Shannon also stars in the film as Montag’s mentor, Beatty.)

Mike Myers reprised his Dr. Evil character (from the AUSTIN POWERS franchise) during his visit to THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JIMMY FALLON.
But rather than looking for world domination (or ask for obscene amounts of money), Dr. Evil was there to talk about his recent layoff…from the Trump administration.

Comments Off on SUPERNATURAL Bosses Tease the End of Season 13
As SUPERNATURAL gears up for the final arc of its season, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), and Castiel (Misha Collins) are on the hunt for the remaining items that will allow them to return to the Apocalypse World. (Sam and Dean’s mother, Mary, is currently there, as is Lucifer’s son, Jack.)
“Eventually they’ll get all that they need,” SUPERNATURAL executive producer Robert Singer teased prior to the show’s PaleyFest panel. “The run-up to [the end of the season] is as big as we’ve done, in an odd way. We’re excited where the story is taking us.”
“Seeing what Jared and Jensen do, it’s always exciting for us,” added executive producer Andrew Dabb, who cited the next couple of episodes as installments he was most excited for fans to see. (The long-running CW series has also officially been renewed for next season, as well.)

Comments Off on MOM: Allison Janney Teases Bonnie and Adam’s Dynamic Shift
MOM’s Adam (William Fichtner) and Bonnie (Allison Janney) have been through a lot during their courtship, but the Thursday, April 5 episode of the CBS comedy could be their biggest couple test yet.
When Adam loses a close friend, Bonnie is tasked with taking care of her fiancé as he copes with his loss. And, well, that goes about as well as you’d expect.
“Bonnie is not used to having to be the one who is the rock,” Janney said before the show’s PaleyFest panel in the video below. “She says she’s the river; she likes Adam to be the rock…she has a little bit of trouble putting on those shoes. It’s kind of funny to see her deal with that.”

Comments Off on THE BIG BANG THEORY: Executive Producers Bill Prady and Steve Holland on Reaching Episode 250
THE BIG BANG THEORY reaches its 250th episode milestone on Thursday, April 5…but the producers didn’t realize they had reached that mark until they had already written the installment.
“We don’t have the numbers on the board, as we’re doing it,” executive producer Steve Holland explained in the video below before the show’s PaleyFest panel. “Every week, we honestly just try to tell the best episode that we can do. It was sort of after the fact [we realized], ‘Oh, that one was 250. Should we have done [something]? Should it have been something bigger.’ But [executive producer] Chuck [Lorre]’s attitude has always been just do the best episode you can; that’s all that matters.”
But reaching the number—a feat few shows accomplish—”was emotional,” executive producer Bill Prady admitted in the video below. “But at the same time, we have the work to do.”

Comments Off on SHADES OF BLUE Gets Final Season Premiere Date
SHADES OF BLUE will end with its upcoming third season, NBC announced. The final season will premiere on Sunday, June 17, at 10/9c.
“I have enjoyed producing and starring in this beautifully complicated world and playing such an empowering yet flawed character – a women, a detective, but, first and foremost, a mother,” series star/producer Jennifer Lopez said in a statement. “Now looking at it with a little distance, playing Harlee strengthened me and helped me grow into a more self-assured woman. It’s crazy how some parts permeate your soul and change you forever and for that I am grateful. We crafted a poetic three-season arc on how her journey ends, which is true redemption. The way only Harlee could have done it – the hard way, the road less traveled. I thank NBC and all the talented actors, writers, crew and producers for going on this journey with us!”

CATCH-22: Hugh Laurie Joins the Hulu Limited Series

Comments Off on CATCH-22: Hugh Laurie Joins the Hulu Limited Series
HOUSE’s Hugh Laurie has joined Hulu’s adaptation of CATCH-22, the streaming platform announced. Laurie joins the previously-cast George Clooney (who is playing Colonel Cathcart) in the six-part limited series. (Clooney is also an executive producer and directing part of the series.)
Per Hulu, “CATCH-22 is the story of the incomparable, artful dodger, Yossarian (Christopher Abbott), a US Air Force bombardier in World War II who is furious because thousands of people he has never met are trying to kill him. But his real problem is not the enemy, but rather his own army which keeps increasing the number of missions the men must fly to complete their service. Yet if Yossarian makes any attempt to avoid his military assignments, he’ll be in violation of Catch-22, a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule which specifies that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers which are real and immediate is the process of a rational mind; a man is considered insane if he willingly continues to fly dangerous combat missions, but a request to be removed from duty is evidence of sanity and therefore makes him ineligible to be relieved from duty.”
Laurie will play Major de Coverley, a respected squadron executive officer who “dances to the beat of his own drum.”
