WAYWARD SISTERS: The CW Boss Explains Why the Network Passed on the SUPERNATURAL Spinoff
May 17, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
When The CW handed out orders for its new series, one show was conspicuously missing: WAYWARD SISTERS, the long-gestating spinoff of SUPERNATURAL.
The CW had previously attempted to expand the SUPERNATURAL universe (with BLOODLINES) in the past, but once again, the brass felt the fit wasn’t quite right. “We had really great material this year,” Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW, told reporters. “We’re really excited about the five shows we picked up. We are big fans of the characters and the women who played the characters. [However,] we did not feel creatively the show is where we wanted it to be. We felt we had a better shot with LEGACIES.”
Are you bummed WAYWARD SISTERS won’t be on The CW this fall?
