ABC Cancels ROSEANNE
May 29, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
ABC has canceled the planned second season of the ROSEANNE revival.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment said in a statement.
The move comes after series star/executive producer Roseanne Barr was widely criticized for her racist tweets toward a former Obama aide. (Writer Wanda Sykes also quit the series following Barr’s tweets.)
