AMC has renewed anthology drama THE TERROR for a second installment.
Season 2 “will be set during World War II and center on an uncanny specter that menaces a Japanese-American community from its home in Southern California to the internment camps to the war in the Pacific,” AMC shared. The second season—ten episodes, which will air in 2019—was co-created by Alexander Woo and Max Borenstein (MINORITY REPORT), with Woo serving as showrunner.

ABC has officially ordered THE CONNERS, a spinoff of ROSEANNE, to series. The comedy will air Tuesdays at 8/7c this fall, taking the planned ROSEANNE time slot. (The original series was canceled following Roseanne Barr’s racist tweets; Barr will have no creative or financial involvement in the spinoff.)

GREY’S ANATOMY successfully launched another spinoff this season.
“I’d love to see someone from GREY’S date someone from STATION 19,” Jaina Lee Ortiz (Andy) shared at the Opening Night ATX carpet. Ortiz was coy about who she had in mind (“I cannot disclose that information right now!”), but she seemed sure it was in the future: “It’ll happen!”
