On NBC’s REVERIE, Mara (Sarah Shahi) has a tragic familial backstory—her sister and niece were killed by her brother-in-law.
But thanks (perhaps) to her new job at Reverie, which allows its users to retreat into memories/fantasy situations, Mara is now seeing her deceased niece.
“You don’t know is she seeing things? Is she going crazy? Is the program messing with her mind?” Shahi told reporters in the video below. “Mara starts going crazy. And it was so much fun playing that.”
Check out more from Shahi about Mara’s struggles… Read more

Gordon Ramsay‘s new series 24 HOURS TO HELL AND BACK follows the chef/television personality as he attempts to help save struggling restaurants in, well, 24 hours. (The series premieres Wednesday, June 13, at 9/8c on Fox.)
But keeping with the theme of the series, Make-a-Wish reached out to Ramsay to help make 24 wishes come true in 24 hours. (Make-a-Wish grants requests/wishes to children with serious illnesses.) Ramsay got to work—including reaching out to celebs like Katy Perry, Jay Leno, and more—and not only granted those wishes, but went over the goal.
Check out the heartwarming video of Ramsay helping to assist with the wishes… Read more

Erik Griffin has spent the past two seasons playing comedian Ralph Carnegie on the Showtime series I’M DYING UP HERE, but he’s no stranger to the stand-up world himself. And with ERIK GRIFFIN: AMERIKAN WARRIOR (airing Friday, June 8 at 10/9c), the special marks Griffin’s second hour-long special. (And also the second consecutive special he’s done for Showtime timed to IDUH.)
“People should have an open mind,” Griffin says. “We live in a country where we’re supposed to be able to have peaceful dissent and conversations and different ideas. These are my ideas. You don’t have to agree, you can disagree, but you can agree. But the main point is I tried to do it in an entertaining way. This is an entertaining way of me expressing my views.”
Griffin breaks down his new special (and its unexpected timeliness), how he’s handling his shifting fanbase, and more…

Author Gillian Flynn is no stranger to having her work adapted—GONE GIRL and DARK PLACES were made into a films—but HBO’s SHARP OBJECTS, based on her 2006 novel of the same name marks her first foray into television.
“I started writing it when I was a writer at EW,” Flynn said during a panel for the limited series at ATX. “I was [consuming] tons of movies and TV. And what I was really discovering was there was a lot of stories about men and violence, and men and rage, and how they handle that. But not much about how women did that, and women handle their anger…particularly at that time, there was a lot of chick flicks. Stories about women who shopped and their big crisis was can I find the right shoe? And get the right shoe and get the right man and get the right cosmopolitan…so I started writing it.”
