ARROW: Stephen Amell Previews Oliver’s Time in Prison
August 13, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
When ARROW returns for its seventh season, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is in a tough place: in prison, isolated from his friends and family.
“There’s nothing about him that’s heroic,” Amell told reporters in the video below. “It’s kind of the opposite, actually. It’s really tough. I’ve enjoyed it; I’ve been having a good time playing it. But it’s been tough.”
As Oliver adjusts to his new reality, he’s “trying to keep his head down,” Amell said. “Trying to just manage his day by day…he hasn’t had any contact with Felicity, so he’s trying to [keep his] head down, press on.”
However, with a number of foes locked up with him—including the returning Ben Turner/Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Derek Sampson (Cody Runnels) and Danny “Brick” Brickwell (Vinnie Jones)—how well he’s able to do that remains to be seen.
Check out more from Amell!
