August 21, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
AMERICAN VANDAL will return with its second installment on Friday, September 14.
The first season of the mockumentary—which follows the investigation of a fictional crime—had Peter Maldonado (Tyler Alvarez) and Sam Ecklund (Griffin Gluck) trying to figure out who drew the dicks. (The freshman season also scored an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing For A Limited Series, Movie Or Dramatic Special.)
The second installment has the team searching for The Turd Burglar, whose mayhem of choice is giving an entire school food poisoining. Per Netflix, “Filmmakers Peter Maldonado and Sam Ecklund point their investigative lens at St. Bernardine, a private high school recently terrorized by a vandal known only as The Turd Burglar. Kevin McClain, a junior, has been expelled and awaits trial for the crimes. But is justice being served? Is the system rigged against the disenfranchised? And who is The Turd Burglar?”
