Get ready for more BROOKLYN NINE-NINE!
NBC—which already saved the fantastic comedy after Fox’s cancellation—has ordered an additional five episodes for the show’s upcoming sixth season. This brings the season 6 total up to 18 installments.
The series stars Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Chelsea Peretti, Joe Lo Truglio, Joel McKinnon Miller, and Dirk Blocker.
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE’s expanded sixth season will air at some point during NBC’s midseason schedule. However, not having a planned air date hasn’t derailed the writers’ storytelling. “I think there will be a time jump at some point in the season,” executive producer Dan Goor told reporters after the show’s TCA panel. “I think it’s natural and easy to do…realistically, if you don’t pin [episode events] to holidays and people are loosely wearing the clothes people wear in New York, it’s not that big a deal.”
