THE ROOKIE: Nathan Fillion Shares Why You Should Watch the New ABC Drama
September 10, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
Nathan Fillion is officially back with his first series regular gig since CASTLE ended its eight-season run in 2016.
In ABC’s THE ROOKIE—created by former CASTLE co-showrunner Alexi Hawley—Fillion plays John Nolan, the oldest rookie cop on the force at the LAPD. (The series also stars Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin, Mercedes Mason, Melissa O’Neil, Afton Williamson, and Eric Winter.)
“We’re exploring this whole new…cultural norm we’re seeing,” Fillion explained before the PaleyFest panel for the series, citing how people are no longer as tied down to careers of expected paths of life as they may have been before. “Things change much more quickly in our culture now, and I think the show reflects that.”
