VERONICA MARS: Hulu Officially Orders Revival Series, Lands Streaming Rights of the Original Series
September 20, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
VERONICA MARS is the latest series to get an official revival. Hulu announced they ordered an eight-episode season that is set to debut in 2019.
So what will V be up to this-go round? Per Hulu, “Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”
Series star Kristen Bell—who also shared the news on Instagram—is the only cast member officially announced for the return. Rob Thomas, Diane Ruggiero-Wright, Dan Etheridge are returning as executive producers with Thomas penning the first hour back.
Additionally, the first three seasons and the 2014 fan-funded film will be available to stream on Hulu starting next summer.
