About Last Night…SUPERNATURAL, SUPERSTORE, LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, and More
October 12, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
Thursday feels like a very SUPER night. Let’s talk about SUPERNATURAL, SUPERSTORE, THE BIG BANG THEORY, MOM, WILL & GRACE, MURPHY BROWN, and LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT…
SUPERNATURAL: What the heck does Michael want with a vampire? I’m really curious how long this arc goes on for. On one hand, the show is so much about the Winchesters hunting things and saving people; on the other, it needs to actually stick around for a bit for the choice to have weight.
I’m also intrigued by Nick’s presence in the bunker. Can they really trust him? Will he be around for a bit? Sam was solid as a leader in the first episode, though.
SUPERSTORE: Everyone’s reaction to Jonah’s (accidental) good idea was hilarious. And Garrett found the perfect way to tell Jonah he knew about his relationship with Amy; their friendship is so perfectly weird.
Also, that Dina photoshoot!! Who is she going to want to kill more when she gets down—Sandra or Mateo?
THE BIG BANG THEORY: Well, on the bright side, Anu should fit in with Penny and Bernadette. Hopefully she likes her future husband more than they seem to enjoy their husbands, though.
MOM: Uh, it seems kind of like playing with fire for Adam to buy a bar?? In theory, he’ll need Bonnie’s help (beyond just naming a drink after her), and putting her (or Christy) in a bar just feels dangerous.
Also, good luck Christy passing that class now that the professor is mad at her and feels vulnerable. (The professor was completely wrong. But yikes.)
WILL & GRACE: Karen has rarely acted married during the show’s run, so I’m really intrigued to see how her separation changes things. But, man, they really blew through Will’s mom and Grace’s dad getting hitched.
MURPHY BROWN: As someone who still hasn’t seen the original series, I found myself wondering a few times throughout the episode whether this kind of thing the show regularly did. It was clearly an important topic, but it also didn’t feel like a comedy…especially a multi-camera sitcom.
LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: Of course incels would use Daft Punk-like helmets to conceal their identities. The victim’s rage in the final scene felt raw and waaaaay too real given what’s going on in the world today.
