About Last Night…THE SIMPSONS, FAMILY GUY, ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA, and More

Let’s talk about Sunday TV!
THE SIMPSONS: Anyone else search those articles the show gave links to in order to see if they were real? (They are.)
There was a genuinely sad moment when Marge acknowledged how unhealthy her relationship with Homer can be, and I wish they had leaned into it a little harder. Obviously, it’s not going to change—if it does, the entire show dynamic is different—but I wish it had led to a real conversation versus another grand gesture from Homer.
SUPERGIRL: I’m so ready to dive deeper into Nia’s powers. And, uh, it sure seems like both James and Lena are going down paths they shouldn’t be.
BOB’S BURGERS: I loved the family trying to save the poor not-quite-pardoned turkey. And my goodness, “James Van Der Beek. We’re just trying to get him back to his creek.” killed me.
CHARMED: I haven’t seen the original CHARMED, so I don’t know if they played this card there, but I’m so intrigued to see what’s going on with Macy.
FAMILY GUY: This was probably my favorite episode in a couple of years? The Meg stuff was funny—as was the Lacey Chabert tie-in—and I’m glad they had something for her to do that wasn’t being the butt of the joke or absolutely mortifying.
ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA: I’m really into this series so far. Patricia Arquette was fantastic, and I appreciate how they’re telling the story. When something was so newsworthy just a few years ago—with much of the central action happening deeper in the story’s run—I appreciate they have a framework of the future, but didn’t immediately jump to something as flashy as the breakout to just get people hooked.
