About Last Night…THE VOICE, THE FLASH, THE ROOKIE, and More
November 28, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV…
THE VOICE: I wonder if the producers would consider the wild card inclusion a success, given the component only made it to the Top 11. In many ways, it also feels like a disservice to Lynnea Moorer, because now, in theory, she likely isn’t able to come back and compete on the show. If they do it again, I wonder if there’s a way to make it so the WC doesn’t get as short-changed.
THE CONNERS: Now that Becky has decided to raise her baby herself, I hope the show doesn’t throw tragedy in her way. It feels like overkill to have her miscarry the same year she lost her mother.
THE FLASH: I’m not sure the Cicada flashback told us anything new, but Team Flash now knows who he is…I’m curious to see if they shake up their established season template in how they handle him. (I’m guessing no.)
I did like how they handled Nora grappling with her father being unable to give up being The Flash.
SPLITTING UP TOGETHER: Oh my God, Mae’s crush was hilarious/mortifying. And I really enjoyed seeing a genuine friendship between Lena and Martin. It was the first time this season they had affection for each other that wasn’t tinged in romance or anger over the breakup, and I had really missed it.
THE ROOKIE: Yikes, the officers chasing a cop would have been bad enough—but a training officer who had ties to the team? I’m glad everyone handled things by the book.
