About Last Night…SUPERNATURAL, SUPERSTORE, MURPHY BROWN, and More
December 7, 2018 by Marisa Roffman
Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!
SUPERNATURAL: Well, it was lovely to see Kelly with Jack, but yikes, is the decision to save his life is going to backfire in a big way. I truly hope this isn’t what pushes him over to the dark side. And, of course, the looming threat to Castiel is going to be something I expect the show to milk for a bit.
SUPERSTORE: Glenn protecting Mateo’s undocumented status is probably risky, work-wise, but boy, it made me tear up.
On a lighter note, Amy and Jonah discovering the fun of swag—and their adorableness in the photo booth—was fantastic. I’m curious to see how they play with Amy’s potential interest in moving up in the company.

THE GOOD PLACE: The episode itself was a visual masterpiece, and I can’t wait to see what The Good Place is actually like. (And see who Michael has to convince.) But, boy, D’Arcy Carden freaking nailed “Janet(s).” Those characters are so distinct, and she absolutely embraced what was needed of her. (For more on the episode, see what Carden and EP Michael Schur shared about the production process and what comes next.)
MOM: Christy going back to smoking feels like a slippery slope. Alas.
WILL & GRACE: I wanted a bit more from this episode. The best moment was Lorraine and Karen acknowledging they actually do have something in common.
MURPHY BROWN: MUPRHY’S DOG. I mean, also, Avery’s reaction to getting a dog was also adorable. Avery standing up for himself is also going to have ramifications, so is this leading to him working with his mom? Getting another job?
