This episode’s fawning, slobbering reference to Walter Cronkite and how he was responsible for the beginning of the withdrawal of US troops from Vietnam made me sick. I served with the US Army from 1/68 – 12/71, including a one year tour in Vietnam in 1969. We were winning when I was there, and the US had won militarily by 1972 when we had the VC and North Vietnamese communists agreeing to OUR PEACE TERMS at the Paris Peace Accords. Sniveling democrat cowards refused to enforce the terms of the Paris Accords two years later, thereby giving tacit approval for the North Vietnamese Communists to INVADE and conquer the former US/SEATO Ally, the Republic of Vietnam. Walter Cronkite was a pathetic dupe for the commies, having declared that the “war was lost”. This doddering old fool was totally wrong. He, along with fellow commie dupe Jane Fonda, are hated, despised and cursed by the vast majority of the 2.5 million American service men and women who sacrificed, with some giving their all, in defense of the people of the Republic of Vietnam, who were sold out by coward democrats. Cronkite is a worthless piece of $hit masquerading as a “reporter”. He’s a nothing. He’s a nobody. He cost the United States 58000 of their best and bravest and gave their victory away to the communists. Damn him.
