CHICAGO FIRE lost one of its own in 2018, when DuShon Brown (who played Connie) passed away in March.
It left the writers with a tough task: Brown had filmed three episodes prior to her death, and there were only a handful left in the season. “I just didn’t want to do something disrespectful [to] her family, [and] our cast and crew had grown close to her,” CHICAGO FIRE executive producer Derek Haas recalled to reporters.

In the aftermath of CHICAGO P.D.’s killer last episode, executive producer Rick Eid teased, “We pick up in real time [in the next episode] from where we left off.”
“The only way out of this messy situation is to rely on his friendship with Voight and Ruzek,” he said after the episode aired. “It comes back to this idea of family. It can be messy, it can be ugly, and filled with conflict and anger, a lot. But at the end of the day, when you need it the most, it’s family.”

Hulu is adapting CATCH-22, based on the Joseph Heller novel, as a six-part limited series that is set to bow Spring 2019.
Per the streaming service, “CATCH-22 is the story of the incomparable, artful dodger, Yossarian (Christopher Abbott), a US Air Force bombardier in World War II who is furious because thousands of peoplehe has never met are trying to kill him. But his real problem is not the enemy, but rather his own army which keeps increasing the number of missions the men must fly to complete their service. Yet if Yossarian makes any attempt to avoid his military assignments, he’ll be in violation of Catch-22, a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule which specifies that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers which are real and immediate is the process of a rational mind; a man is considered insane if he willingly continues to fly dangerous combat missions, but a request to be removed from duty is evidence of sanity and therefore makes him ineligible to be relieved from duty.” The series also stars Kyle Chandler, Hugh Laurie, and George Clooney (who directed two episodes).
Check out photos from the event series…
Catch-22
Catch-22 -- Episode 101 -- Yossarian and his friends train to be flyers in California before being shipped to an Army Air Force base on the Italian island of Pianosa. Nineteen perilous missions later, Yossarian’s only hope is to meet the mission quota – twenty-five – and be sent home before he’s shot down. But a new Colonel (Cathcart) takes command and immediately raises the mission quota. Yossarian realizes he has to get himself grounded or sent home by any means necessary. Scheisskopf (George Clooney), Yossarian (Christopher Abbott), and Clevinger (Pico Alexander), shown. (Photo by: Philipe Antonello / Hulu)
