FOSSE/VERDON: FX Sets April Premiere

The new FX drama, FOSSE/VERDON, will premiere Tuesday, April 9, the network announced.
Per FX, FOSSE/VERDON “tells the story of the singular romantic and creative partnership between Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. He was a visionary filmmaker and one of theater’s most influential choreographers and directors. She was the greatest Broadway dancer of all time. Together, they changed the face of American entertainment – at a perilous cost. Featuring Fosse’s choreography, the series explores the hidden corners of show business, the price of pursuing greatness, and the suffering inflicted in the name of art.”
The series stars Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams as the titular Fosse and Verdon. FOSSE/VERDON also stars Norbert Leo Butz (Paddy Chayefsky) and Margaret Qualley (Ann Reinking). Aya Cash (Joan Simon), Nate Corddry (Neil Simon), Susan Misner (Joan McCracken), Bianca Marroquin (Chita Rivera), Kelli Barrett (Liza Minnelli), Evan Handler (Hal Prince), Rick Holmes (Fred Weaver), and Paul Reiser (Cy Feuer). Ethan Slater (Joel Grey), Byron Jennings (George Abbott), and Laura Osnes (Shirley MacLaine) are also recurring on the series.
