ABC Boss is (Maybe) Looking to Reboot LOST
February 5, 2019 by Marisa Roffman
LOST is about to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its pilot debut (this September), and new ABC boss Karey Burke, President, ABC Entertainment, told reporters after her Television Critics Association executive session that she hopes to revisit it at some point.
The drama kicked off an ABC sizzle reel during the session, and when she was asked to clarify whether a reboot was actively in development—especially given original showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have been firm about not wanting to revisit their story—she said right now there’s nothing immediately in the works.
“It is literally at this point I dream about when I go to bed at night,” she told reporters. “I have not spoken to Carlton or J.J. [Abrams] or ABC Studios. But I do often get asked the question what show would I reboot. And often my answer is LOST. Sometimes ALIAS. But nothing to report yet. Maybe ever. But it would be a fun thing to have a conversation about.”
Would you want a LOST reboot?
